I stayed at this property over the holidays visiting some friends, and I was pleasantly surprised. I had heard bad stories but it is the only chain in the downtown area so I trusted the Holiday Inn name. The rooms have recently been renovated (the pictures on this site look very old and outdated, nothing like the room I stayed in). The pool was huge and warm and the service I received everywhere was incredibly friendly. I had lunch at Bennigan's (which I'd never eaten at before) and was very satisfied. The servers were very friendly and accommodating. I will stay here again the next time I am in town.

I stayed here for a few days on business and didn't find anything wrong with it. The giant pool was the highlight for me - really peaceful in there at night. The staff were nothing but pleasant, and I liked the interior atrium. The parking garage and location in the city center were also convenient. The room wasn't notably comfortable, but again, nothing specific wrong with it. Avoid the room service, though - greasy, slow and way over-priced. (And it's kind of gross how long peoples' left-overs sit outside their doors in the hall.)

Well, it was a place to say. We arrived fairly late at night and check in wasn't a problem. Room was pretty standard as was the bathroom. Clean but worn.

Hot water wasn't an issue really like others mentioned, but they had a maintenance issue on our last night's stay -- turning off the water from 10:30 pm to 5:am -- not the biggest issue, but somewhat of an inconvenience.

Parking lot was old and dark, but free.

Bennigan's was adjacent to the restaurant and that pretty decent food.

Our room was clean and bright, the hotel has a nice modern lobby and the staff was helpful. However, the room was small and the bathroom was tiny! The mattress was very uncomfortable and the loud fan on the AC/Heater went on every 10 minutes. We also had problems with the water when taking showers.
