Yes, all these reviews are for real. Wonderful B&B and what made it so were Robert and Sheila's brand of hospitality. Warm welcome and local knowledge, plus privacy when you want it....the balance was just right. For those who are animal lovers, you will be introduced to a whole host of pets, from 2 ponies, 3 cats and 3 dogs (Jack, Dora the explorer, and Daisy). I hasten to add that the pets were kept out of the B&B rooms so not a pet hair in sight. The location is stunning. If you've ever wondered what it would be like to live in the quiet countryside surrounded by hills and fields then this is for you.

On a more personal note, a huge thank you to Robert and Sheila, we enjoyed our stay so much and think you are both brilliant!

Jill and Chrissie

Robert and Sheila made our stay a perfectly planned weekend! A warm and friendly atmosphere, cozy rooms with spacious showers, along with outstanding service and an amazing breakfast; My girlfriend and I could not have had a better experience! We WILL be back and highly recommend this Bed & Breakfast! Quiet and comfortable with no paparazzi to speak of! Will also recommend to our celebrity friends!

Our trip to Staffs was to see the bluebells, visit the National Memorial Arboretum and to see the Shugborough Estate. We arived in pouring rain to discover the warmest welcome from Robert, a reviving cup of tea accompanied by warm home-made scones and buscuits. We were also joined by Sheila after her return from work. Our room was delightful and spotless - sherry, teas, coffees and more home made biscuits in case we felt peckish!! Modern TV with DVD player, a lovely bathroom with Eco-friendly soaps etc, huge shower, and the biggest/fluffiest white towels seen anywhere outside the USA (we're Brits by the way). Breakfast was a feast with local produce, including eggs from their own hens, which set us up for the day. Each evening Robert recommended nearby restaurants, he made the reservations for us, and his selection was perfect. A wonderful stay and highly recommended. Go and discover it yourself.

Room Tip: Both rooms are at the back of the property - very quiet. We stayed in Goldfinch.

Wow, what can we say, the best b&b we have stayed in, from the hosts to the little touches that made the stay amazing, we had arranged in advanced for an evening meal, and was not disappointed! The room was very clean with an amazing view, breakfast was also great with a full cooked breakfast, cereals, juices, home made preserve and much more! Would defo recommend this b&b, we will be defo returning.

this was a very short and sweet one night stay which was incorporating a trip to alton towers.we arrived early evening on a sunday and were welcomed by Robert and Sheila, who took us to our rooms and went through all the amenities and fixtures that we had at our disposal. we were given a breakfast sheet to fill in so they knew what we all wanted for the following morning. we had our own lounge area to use if we wanted it as well which was warm and welcoming with nice comfy seats and a roaring fire which was great on a chilly autumn evening.the bed was very comfortable and we even had a small carafe of sherry as a little nightcap if we wanted it!
the following morning we had our breakfast which was plentiful, and all the food that we ate as far as i could see was all locally sourced...and it tasted delicious! Robert went through what was on offer which ranged from cereal to fresh fruit, yoghurts and a full staffordshire! and the black pudding was great! we only stayed for one night but if we had more time it would be good to stay another night to be able to explore the area a little more as Cotton Lane Farm is in a lovely rural location with cows and sheep in fields right outside, in beautiful countryside.if you are evere in the area i can only say that you would not be disappointed with any aspect of your stay here. the words warm and welcoming describe bot the accommodation and the hosts! thankyou !!!!!

Cotton Lane Farm is without a doubt THE best B&B we have ever stayed in.

The little touches, as mentioned by all other reviewers, the attentiveness of the hosts, Robert (NOT Richard... :-) ) and Sheila, goes beyond what you expect and well and truly into the realms of what you would like without pausing for breath.

Tea and cakes on arrival (Scones, home cooked by Roberts Mum, are the best I have had the pleasure of trying, including my own mum's), lovely clean house, warm welcoming attention and privacy are given in abundance by both hosts, they are there when you need them, always making it known that nothing is too much for them and everything will be done within their power to make your stay in their lovely home a pleasure from start to finish.

The breakfasts were lovely, with plenty of choice from Cereal, Grapefruit and Toast to a full Staffordshire fry up, all locally sourced and tasting gorgeous!!
The bedroom, with en-suite bathroom, (Goldfinches) was lovely; bathroom was spacious, modern and fully equipped with all someone could need including the things that may have been forgotten (makeup wipes and cotton buds, face soap, hand cream etc).
The bed was very large with lovely clean white Jacquard sheets, pillows were lovely and plump, and duvet was more than enough to keep us warm but not too hot.
We had brought wine and Champagne with us as it was our 2nd Anniversary (cotton anniversary as Robert pointed out ironically....) and as we came back from a day out, we found that we had been provided with Champagne flutes without even asking (VERY nice touch)

The living room is lovely and large, with a large log burner as a focal point, which Robert and Sheila will light for you in cold evenings, we were given DVD's, Sky, a whole host of varying books and more to entertain us in the evenings.

The thoughtfulness and attentiveness, whilst giving space and privacy, that both hosts give is something that I have not experienced before and honestly do not think we will experience again until we go back to Cotton Lane Farm.

All in all, this B&B and our hosts, made a long weekend away much more pleasurable then we could have hoped, the only downside for us was that we had the short-sightedness to not bring our walking boots with us to explore the various walks and wonderful grounds that Robert and Sheila help to make available to all guests.

Cotton Lane B&B - A pleasure in every sense of the word and more, from arrival to departure!!

This is the second time we have stayed in Cotton Lane Farm Bed and Breakfast and I cannot recommend it more highly. Robert and Sheila are wonderful and attentive and there are several aspects that make your stay all the more pleasant such as cakes and tea on arrival, RSPB shower gels, environmentally friendly shampoos, chocolates / high quality biscuits in the rooms, real milk and the decanter of sherry. We're already thinking of visiting again in a matter of months as it's such a special place and we cannot think of any Bed and Breakfast in the area that has the quality of Cotton Lane Farm.
