“AAAAAAA ok I'm running out of A's!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2012

Yes, all these reviews are for real. Wonderful B&B and what made it so were Robert and Sheila's brand of hospitality. Warm welcome and local knowledge, plus privacy when you want it....the balance was just right. For those who are animal lovers, you will be introduced to a whole host of pets, from 2 ponies, 3 cats and 3 dogs (Jack, Dora the explorer, and Daisy). I hasten to add that the pets were kept out of the B&B rooms so not a pet hair in sight. The location is stunning. If you've ever wondered what it would be like to live in the quiet countryside surrounded by hills and fields then this is for you.

On a more personal note, a huge thank you to Robert and Sheila, we enjoyed our stay so much and think you are both brilliant!

“Absolutely the best!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012 via mobile

Robert and Sheila made our stay a perfectly planned weekend! A warm and friendly atmosphere, cozy rooms with spacious showers, along with outstanding service and an amazing breakfast; My girlfriend and I could not have had a better experience! We WILL be back and highly recommend this Bed & Breakfast! Quiet and comfortable with no paparazzi to speak of! Will also recommend to our celebrity friends!

“Wonderful welcome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2012

Our trip to Staffs was to see the bluebells, visit the National Memorial Arboretum and to see the Shugborough Estate. We arived in pouring rain to discover the warmest welcome from Robert, a reviving cup of tea accompanied by warm home-made scones and buscuits. We were also joined by Sheila after her return from work. Our room was delightful and spotless - sherry, teas, coffees and more home made biscuits in case we felt peckish!! Modern TV with DVD player, a lovely bathroom with Eco-friendly soaps etc, huge shower, and the biggest/fluffiest white towels seen anywhere outside the USA (we're Brits by the way). Breakfast was a feast with local produce, including eggs from their own hens, which set us up for the day. Each evening Robert recommended nearby restaurants, he made the reservations for us, and his selection was perfect. A wonderful stay and highly recommended. Go and discover it yourself.

Room Tip: Both rooms are at the back of the property - very quiet. We stayed in Goldfinch.

“Amazing b&b”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2012

Wow, what can we say, the best b&b we have stayed in, from the hosts to the little touches that made the stay amazing, we had arranged in advanced for an evening meal, and was not disappointed! The room was very clean with an amazing view, breakfast was also great with a full cooked breakfast, cereals, juices, home made preserve and much more! Would defo recommend this b&b, we will be defo returning.

“lovely b+b with warm welcoming hosts”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2011

this was a very short and sweet one night stay which was incorporating a trip to alton towers.we arrived early evening on a sunday and were welcomed by Robert and Sheila, who took us to our rooms and went through all the amenities and fixtures that we had at our disposal. we were given a breakfast sheet to fill in so they knew what we all wanted for the following morning. we had our own lounge area to use if we wanted it as well which was warm and welcoming with nice comfy seats and a roaring fire which was great on a chilly autumn evening.the bed was very comfortable and we even had a small carafe of sherry as a little nightcap if we wanted it!
the following morning we had our breakfast which was plentiful, and all the food that we ate as far as i could see was all locally sourced...and it tasted delicious! Robert went through what was on offer which ranged from cereal to fresh fruit, yoghurts and a full staffordshire! and the black pudding was great! we only stayed for one night but if we had more time it would be good to stay another night to be able to explore the area a little more as Cotton Lane Farm is in a lovely rural location with cows and sheep in fields right outside, in beautiful countryside.if you are evere in the area i can only say that you would not be disappointed with any aspect of your stay here. the words warm and welcoming describe bot the accommodation and the hosts! thankyou !!!!!
