“Great pizza and nice atmosphere.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2012

We enjoyed both the food and atmosphere. Staff recognized that we had not dined at this restuarant previously and were helpful guiding us through their menu and ordering procedures.

“Dismal place!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2012

Went with family on Friday night. It was dark, crowded and chaotic. Hadn't been there in years. The pizza was so different than it used to be. They used to have a decent crust, although I remember the pizza always being exceptionally greasy. This time it seemed as though they were trying to stretch the crust far enough to make two pizza's instead of one it was so thin. Toppings were scant. I asked for parmesan (which is almost always on the table other places) and was arrogantly told they DO NOT serve it with their pizza's. Wouldn't waste my time or money going back as there are too many good pizza places in the area.

“Bianchi's Pizza”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2012

This pizza has been a staple for Ottawa for many years. The pizza is a little on the greasy side: but is unique all on it's own. When you order and pay at the door: they give a block of wood with a number on it: You put it on your table and the servers know which pizza goes on what table. It is housed in a building that was many years before my time an Ice Cream Parlor of days gone by. I will stop again someday and have not been in there since they recently remoldeled : But always like to get pizzas from differnet places time to time.

“Simple and good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2012

One of the most unusual pizza experiences we've had. One enters the restaurant no earlier than 4:30 pm to a kindly, older gentleman who shows you a list of 8 or 9 ingredients on a plain white sheet--no menu, no prices, no drinks list, no anything else!! It appears that the building is a 1920's former bank, complete with the ornate decor ceiling and all. Seems to have gone through several renovations including being an ice cream shop which is advertised prominently on the inside. It's very dark inside, though this didn't bother us that much. The service was friendly and we got our pizza in good time--likely because we were there right away at 4:30, expecting to have gotten in earlier. The pizza is New York style and that's it. It was one of the smoothest pizzas I've had and would rate it above average--certainly worth the stop. I didn't even think about the cost until we got the check afterwards. The price was reasonable. I don't think there's alcohol and I couldn't find a web site online. Visit the historic county courthouse across the street which site was the first practice of law by Abe Lincoln. Downtown is clearly renovated and clean--nice looking. We stopped in all three of the neighboring state parks and found them pleasant.
