The attraction was nice but what makes it the best is that the people in the country are soooo nice!

“Real conservation area with so cute creatures!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 16, 2014

It is the only real conservation center in Bohol. Good place with real forest and natural conditions for these little harmless creatures. The staff is very friendly, shows you every tarsier that was found in the morning sleeping on some branch. We were shown 3 of them and they were quite close, we made good pictures. But of course, you cannot touch them.
It takes about 30 minutes to get here by bus or jeepney from Tagbilaran bus station or by taxi. Quite easy. Those who want to see tarsiers in real nature, should visit this center. In other centers the conditions are just awful and it hurts to see this little cuties suffering..

“When in Bohol”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2014

Do check out the Sanctuary when in Bohol. Not sure if they are open at night but since these creatures are nocturnal they are very much asleep during the day.

“Tarsier Sanctuary Philippines”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 13, 2014

Amazing place! Student guides search out the various night time resting places of some of the tiny Tarsiers each morning in this reserve and quietly take you to see them sleeping in the tropical forest. There may be hope for these endangered animals after all. We met one of the researchers that has helped set up the sanctuary at the information centre and he explained how they have been successful at reintroducing breeding populations and that the sanctuary has government funding to expand the protected area. We followed this trip up with a river firefly kayak trip nearby which is also very worthwhile.
