“Lovely stay once again!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2011

This year is the third year we have stayed for our holiday and have yet again had a brilliant time. The whole family are extremely welcoming and Mrs Watson goes over and above to make you feel comfortable. Their Jack Russel Lucy is lovely too, she's always there to say hello and get a fuss! The rooms are beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean and the facilities provided are much more than what is expected from a standard B&B. Mrs Watson is also extremely helpful in suggesting places to visit or to eat and has many leaflets on hand too. I would definately recommend staying here for both short or longer stays. We always look forward to going back, especially for the cooked breakfast in the morning!

We stayed here on our John O'Groats to Land's End cycle challenge and greatly appreciated the welcome given to us by Moira, despite the lateness of the cyclists as they got held up on Arran. They were still greeted with tea and cakes and Hugh even offered to go out and assist them on the route if needed. Would highly recommend.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2011

We booked Laigh Tarbeg at the last minute to attend a funeral.

We were greeted at the door by both Hugh and Moira, a lovely welcome and offered a cup of tea and baking but as we were quite late asked Moira and Hugh to recommend a place to eat, they recommended The Coylton Inn at Low Coylton about 3 miles away and booked for us.

The restaurant was great, I have commented on it on the Forum for Coylton, well worth a visit.

The accomodation is typical of a farmhouse but to a 4 star standard (Visit Scotland).Nice bed linens and modern touches. I had a large room with a double and single bed, sink, large wardobe, tea and coffee making, plenty of towels and bath robes.

My other family had an equally spacious room and a nicely appointed single room.

The house was warm and spacious and we all had a good nights sleep and a great breakfast in a large dining room. This is great value for money and for someone wanting to experience a touch of farming life then this is a great place to stay, handy for Ayr and the coast as well as Burns country.

A very pleasant if short stay.
