What a great hotel! We decided to visit a friend we see often in O'Fallon. We usually stay at the Super 8, but this time we found a cheaper hotel. We paid $55.00 per night, even on a Friday night. Part of the allure to this hotel was the in room fridge and mircowave, king size bed, the indoor heated pool, the jacuzzi, the work out room, the business center with free internet, and the free breakfast.

When we got there we were not disappointed. We were able to check in at 10:00 AM which was great, given it was cold outside and we had been awake all night. Our room was immaculate when we entered it. The staff was very nice. The bed was comfortable.

The breakfast was not disappointing either. There were the usual, cereal, danishes, toast, bagles, juice, milk and coffee. But on the other hand they also had biscuits and gravy, cinnamon rolls, fruit, and yogurt. What a great breakfast and all for free.

The fitness room is small, but it has 4 different machines in it. The business center has two computers and it's open 24 hours, which is nice. We had no problem getting in to use it. The lobby is very inviting with a fire place and nice furniture.

I was so excited to use the indoor heated pool and jacuzzi, especially since it was 5 degrees outside. Well I stepped foot into the jacuzzi and I am surprised I didn't get hypothermia. Apparently it's broken and they are awaiting a part to fix it. A sign would've been nice so I could have a warning. The pool was cold too, but not as bad as the jacuzzi. I don't know what kind of heating system they have, but it's not a good one. Maybe they just wanted to save money on the electricity.

Overall a great hotel for the money, and very close to the highway. (Though not too close that you hear the traffic.)

Oh and we never heard the train come through.

“Awesome value!”

My husband and I got such a great deal on the room that we were a little aprehensive as to what we would find when we arrived. We were extremely happy at what we found. The staff was courtious, the accommodations were clean and updated. In the room, we loved the fact that the sink was outside the shower/toilet area. The bathroom had a huge shower with an exhaust fan. For some, the absence of a bath tub may be an issue. With the free internet, business center and hot breakfast, it was a stay that will be hard to beat.

This hotel was simply AWFUL they messed up on our room and put us in a room with King bed and it was suppose to be a roome with 2 double beds and could not accomodate us and would not give us a roll away bed ( how nice) then at midnight our air conditioner broke and was told by front desk it was our fault and nothing they could do. They could bring us some fans......Yeah in 102 degrees I don't think so. Then after enough complaining I was moved to a meeting room to a bed that was practically on the floor and a dirty room.

NEVER stay at a Sleep in. I called to speak to the owner and was told basically it was taken care of and I should be happy t hey put us up in a meeting room.

“Very nice place, especially if you're visiting the Arch in St. Louis”

This was a great place to stay when when went to see the Gateway Arch in St. Louis. Seems like the drive was around 30 minutes to St. Louis, and we only got stuck in traffice once (due to construction in downtown St. Louis.)

The hotel is still in the "shiny, happy" phase, meaning that it is reasonably new, and the employees seem happy to be there! The rooms are not huge, but adequate. No tub, but a nice shower (my wife wants one of those showers in our house now!) Interior hallways, which is a big plus. Nice "business center" with free Internet access/2 computers. Breakfast was great - clean, fresh, and well-stocked.

Located near the highway, in suburban area, with many opportunites for dining (from fast food to steak houses) and shopping (mall located nearby.) Gasoline/convenience store across the street.

The only potential problem would be that the hotel is near a train track. On our stay, the train went by early evening, and I did not hear it afterward. Our room was near the center of the hotel. My guess is that rooms on the railroad-end of the hotel "might" experience some train noise. My advice would be to call the hotel directly, inquire about train times, and make sure to request a room that doesn't have a this potential noise.

Overall - a great experience. Don't know if we'll ever "do" the Arch again, but this would be my first choice in hotels if we did.

    • Disliked — Railroad nearby (not a problem, but a potential problem)
    • Tips/Secrets: — Request a room near the center of the hotel. Enjoy the Arch early in the day.

Nicely decorated, large room. No problems with noise coming through walls. No tub - just stand-up shower. Hallways brightly lit and clean. Didn't swim in the indoor pool, but it looked well-maintained. Desk staff were helpful & courteous. Left too early for our flight to catch the free breakfast, so can't comment on that. Overall, very satisfied with the stay - clean room for very decent price.

HELPFUL ADVICE: There is a Sleep Inn in both O'Fallon Illinois and O'Fallon Missouri, which are both in the Metro St. Louis area - when making reservations, make sure you're clear on what side of the Mississippi you're thinking you're staying on!
