The steak is terrific and of course so are those wonderful onion breads and beefsteak tomato salads, the only thing I wish for is a little more calming atmosphere. The tables are way to close together and there is a constant rushing of servers brushing past. The clanking from the kitchen is distracting - while I recognize the value in turning over tables quickly - I felt more like a number than a valued guest.

Every time I eat at this restaurant, I am struck by the fact that it just doesn't live up to the reputation and standards of other Mortons restaurants and it seems odd that it doesn't. The food is good, but the portions are too large and this over-portioning doesn't make up for slow and inattentive service. There seems to be an attitude that if you come frequently and are a regular, you will get better service, but if you don't come frequently, the service is slow and not that great. For the cost, it isn't worth it when there are other steak houses nearby with better service and food. The food is good, but it just isn't living up to its reputation.

Similar to Ruth Chris. Fine wines, great customer service, great appetizers, and some of the best meat cuts you'll see in town.
