“Very good for Exams takers !”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2012

I stayed in Chicago O'Hare garden Hotel in May 2012. I wanted a place suitable for a short stay and near the exam center nearby as I was taking an exam there. The place is very convenient in terms of being so close to exam center ( less than 10 mins walk). I had my check in in less than 3 minutes and the room was super convenient. The AC was an old one but worked well. Light inside the rooms is not so good but suitable for what u need to do,The room was so clean. DON'T LISTEN TO WHAT IS WRITTEN IN OTHER REVIEWS ABOUT BUGS AND STUFF LIKE THAT. I didn't experience any bed bugs and didn't hear any complaints from the clients. Internet is only vailable in the lobby. The Hotel provides you free shuttle from and the airport, just call them once you arrive to O'Hare airport and they will send u a shuttle within 30 mins. You will find many exam takers in the hotel so it is a good chance to exchange experience. The hotel provides free shuttle to exam takers early in the morning. The breakfast is not super good but there is a big grocery store nearby that has deli so no problem with your meals at all..It is superconvenient if you wanna a place for short stay to take ur exams, The Staff are very welcoming and helpful. They understand that most clients are coming to take their exams so they help you as much as possible. some drivers may ask for tips though it is supposed to be a free shuttle, it's up to u !!

Room Tip: Room 150 is very calm and convenient...I enjoyed my stay there and slept very well

$80 is not a lot to pay for a room in a big city, but please.... don't be insulting.
How has the City not shut this place down?! They're using the money they should spend on maintenance to pay off the inspectors.
For $40 more next door, you get civility.

Don't book the cheapest hotel and expect the Ritz! That being said the place was clean if dated and well worn. Staff was great. AC was average to off. Breakfast to go was coffee and Ho Ho's which was hilarious! It's been awhile since Ho Ho's were a food group for me and they rocked for breakfast! Free airport shuttle every half hour - 24 hrs daily.

This was a awful place to stay. Phone didn't work, ac was broke, no cribs. Coffee was gone, breakfast was Swiss cake rolls??, and cigarette burn holes in sheets, lock on door was busted in, carpet was black with dirt and grime!!

We needed a hotel close to the airport for an early departure so we chose this one based on price and location. The hotel itself is incredibly tired and could do with a total refurbishment. Having said that the room was large and comfortable and we did have good sleep however other amenities were woeful, ie no water in the swimming pool, internet wifi only in the lobby and the strangest breakfast I ever saw, a chocolate coated Swiss roll. At least it served its purpose as somewhere to get our heads down for the night but other than that it fell well short of the mark. Refurb and maybe I would consider it again but not until then.
