Tucked into a strip mall along with some other ethnic storefronts, Siam's House does not look at all special. But they do a terrific job on some unusual Thai dishes. So much so that Thai friends rave about the place. Catfish salad is an example: a fish body is pressed flat and fried to a delicate golden brown, open textured, and crunchy state, then layered on top of a spicy salad, with red and green onions and peanuts. Rare and delicious. The green curries and Tom Yum seafood are also tasty. By all means, order the classic Thai stuff; they do those fine, too.
Decor is nothing special. The servers are nice Thai girls, happy to chat if things are slow. The food tends to be prepared extra-spicy if you are with a Thai friend.
