We use this hotel as a stop on the way to a Florida winter vacation, usually in February. Find the property as first class, nice amenities, good room, fine beds and bedding, very clean,, good free breakfast..and free cocktail 2 hours M-Th each week. Definitelt worth a stop and its been nicely refurbished recently. Also the price is right for AAA card holders.
There is much hotel/motel competition in Mount Vernon, and the Hampton excels. Quiet, clean, neat, great Internet service (wired), hot breakfast, the luxurious and comfortable Hampton bed, many channels on the TV. Convenient to the freeway and many restaurants nearby. Nice spot in south/central Illinois.
This Hampton is everything you could ask for.

I thought this hotel was very nice. The room was well decorated, the whole property was very clean, breakfast was good, and the staff was friendly. The hotel is in excellent condition and is located in a quiet, wooded area although still close and convenient to the interstate. This is one of the best Hampton Inns I have stayed at. A solid choice in Mount Vernon.

The hotel was descent. Kind of dingy looking but luckily we only had to stay one night. We had two kids with us who wanted to use the pool but they were cleaning the lamp shades in the pool.....that's right, they had the pool completely filled with lamp shades. Kind of nasty if you ask me. The breakfast was OK. Just enough to eat and run. Wouldn't stay here again....go to Holiday Inn across the street!

Hotel is pleasant enough. Clean hotel, staff was very friendly, prompt service! Free breakfast was great except they served the same thing 3 days in a row. We came to the location to visit relatives nearby. It is a good hotel for this purpose. the hotel is clean, but nothing spectacular about it. Does have a pool, but we didn't even see it so can't comment on it. Would stay here again, next time we are in town.
