This hotel was under construction when I stayed there over Labor Day in 2007. It appeared that they were converting to a Ramada Inn but there were no signs of construction when I was there.
City center hotels were selling close to $300 for that weekend, I got a great deal on Site 59 and only need a place near O Hare to crash for a few hours. To that end, the hotel served it's purpose. It was a litttle out of the way, but it only took me ten minutes to get the airport in light traffic.
I'm not sure how the housekeeping department sourced their guestroom supplies. The hand soap was from Days Inn while the bath soap was Ramada Brand. I suspect that the owner has other Cendant properties from which he sources supplies.
Public space was in desperate need of renovation and the guest rooms were marginally better. They were tidy. As a bonus, the internet was free and the wake up call on time, which I did not expect. Staff performed well, especially given the condition of the hotel.
I probably would have been upset if I was relocated to this hotel, but I knoew what I was getting into before hand so it was fine.
