“Nah!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2013 via mobile

Nothing special here. No its not in the woods but nestled between some buildings with a peekaboo view of the river.
Beds felt ok. Bathrooms clean. Breakfast don't bother..no juice, no meat, not much.
No discounts for attending a funeral where other hotels will give one.

Jack K, Vice President of Corporate Support Services at Stoney Creek Hotel & Conference Center - Moline, responded to this review, July 22, 2013
Our GM, Katie wanted to reach out to you: “Dear Annette, On behalf of the entire team here at Stoney Creek Inn, thank you for choosing our beloved hotel. No, we are not in the woods, but it is our mission to create the type of atmosphere that one can find in the Northwoods - warm, cozy, comfortable and with the peace of mind that comes from relaxing in the wilderness! We would also like the opportunity to correct a couple of statements that could be misconstrued by other valued readers. We have a very extensive hot continental breakfast that includes a very wide variety of breakfast choices as well as three types of Juice: Apple, Orange and Cranberry. Several hot items are offered on a daily basis such as sausage patties with scrambled eggs, biscuits with sausage gravy, and omelets. Many hotels, ours included, offer bereavement rates for guests that are going through a troubling time. Our staff prides itself in going above and beyond to assist each and every guest and to provide an atmosphere that meets their unique needs. Again, thank you for taking the time to express your opinions and we hope to have the opportunity to show you, and others, that creating a special environment is the number one priority at Stoney Creek Inn.”

- good hot tub

My husband and I stayed 2 nights for the Antique Automobile Club of America show. Fun décor (outdoorsy), very clean and well-kept, great amenities: indoor/outdoor pool; hot tub; frige & micro in room; great lobby, pleasant staff, wonderful complimentary breakfasts. This would be a nice place to stay for a winter getaway ...

Being a avid outdoorsman I just loved the Lodge feel to the lobby and throughout the hotel including the rooms. The rooms are spacious and very clean. This does seem to be a popular spot with patents and their preteens. I didn't have any issues with them and all were nice kids and had proper manners. The only negative is the breakfast area. It was very crowded no matter what time I went during my 4 night 3 day stay. The selection is okay but nothing special. The location is nice. A biking and walking trail is just out back and runs right along the river. Nice for a workout or evening walk. It's also close to several restaurants.

Nice for picture taking,

U get your moneys worth.

Room Tip: Its up to you, but it goes up to the 4th floor.

I was lucky enough to get the Angler's Cove suite at the Stoney Creek Inn in Moline as I stayed the night on a road trip. The room was excellent. It had a comfortable living area with a flat screen TV, an indoor whirlpool and an outdoor covered sun room in addition to a large bedroom. The bathroom was large and accessible. The room was very clean and the outdoor/lodge theme made it feel like a really nice cabin. Overall, the experience was as good as I could have expected it to be. I'll be back.

Room Tip: The Angler's Cove suite was the pick for me. It had so much room, it could have comfortably fit...

My husband and I stayed at the Stoney Creek Inn in Moline, IL for our anniversary. It was one of the best hotel stays we have ever had. The staff were all amazing, they were all very friendly and accomidating. The atmosphere was so inviting and relaxing. The rooms were amazing also, they were very clean and we loved the theme they had througout the hotel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, it was AWESOME.

Room Tip: Ask for a deluxe suite, the beds and pillows are so comfty and we slept like babies.
