This is the worst hotel we stayed at on our trip. Megan was a rude front desk lady, and the people who worked there did not care about us at all. Don't stay here.

The room size was about the only thing that was worth the stay. Plenty of room to walk around. The heat did not work right. It would be really cold, you turn the heat up and it was way too much. The bathroom did not have a heater or heat lamp. Really cold. The paint was falling off the ceiling. There was ice and snow all over the sidewalks and driveway. Very slippery. We even asked for a snowshovel to remove the ice and snow ourselves but was told they didn't have one. Lie number one. They would not give extra towells or washclothes. When we would ask for extras, we were told they were in the wash. Lie number two. We were 1 of about 3 guests in the hotel. The maid was the only one that would actually give us extras, and also an extra roll of toilet tissue. The keys always stopped working and had to be rescanned. We had a lot of trouble getting quarters from the front desk for the laundry. The owner and his family were rude and not nice to children. They were not very accomadating except when we gave them cash to check in for a week. We will not stay here again.

Booked 2 rooms for 3 nights for 2 parties. On arrival at our room found that the security lock did not work, the carpet in the room was dirty and stained and badly in need of attention. Returned to office and asked for another room and was given choice of two even though hotel appearred empty. On checking the first room that was just as bad as the original room so we went to look at the 2nd room and found that the bed was unmade and room not been cleaned. Went to office and complained and the desk attendant made a comment that the house cleaning lady was away. Not good enough. The carpets in the upstairs foyer was disgustingly stained and in poor condition. It was very late so we begrudgingly stayed that night and checked out the next day cancelling the 2 rooms for the remaining 2 nights. We have stayed at many Super 8 motels and found this motel not up to the standard expected. If you had never stayed at a Super 8 motel before you would never stay at one again after seeing this one. For the remainder of our stay in moline we stayed at the Super 8 in East Moline and found it to be excellent-just what you would expect.

Arrived in evening. Key would not work in door---went back to desk. Desk attendent was "off for 20 minutes", when they arrived back gave us second key which also would not work. Attendent opened door and advised us that we wouldn't need a key for the night. Had requested non-smoking room but our room reeked. Went to hot tub...not working. One of our party had to stay in the room to make sure we could get back in. Awoke at reasonable hour - 8 a.m.- and went looking for "continental breakfast". Housekeeping staff was lounging in reception area and made no effort to move for paying guests. No coffee, no rolls---nothing. As "Super 8 VIP Member" this was not acceptable. Never again.
