The campground is well shaded, and you can pick up several trails there as well as throughout the park. We had an electric site. I give the campground 3 stars because some picnic tables are in need of repair, many sites are very close together, and many firepits are located too close to the camp pad. Depending on your unit, it could be too close to your awning and they are not movable.
There are several pull-thru sites in the first loop. There's only one bath house, and it was kept clean over the course of the Memorial Day weekend. The park has 3 fishing ponds, many hiking trails (including a 12-mile), shelters, cabins with swimming pool, visitor center, and lodge. The lodge has wonderful food, including an all-you-can eat chicken dinner served family style. You can drive about 5 miles to Little Grassy Lake and rent pontoons, kayaks, canoes, etc.
