“Cool restaurant and bar with good food, but the service was terrible.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 9, 2012 via mobile

Ate at Wildfire while in Lincolnshire on a business trip. As a party of 1 I was seated in the bar area. Waiter "Jerry D." was so uninterested it was slightly humorous. Others clearly enjoyed their job (and earning tips) much more than he did. I was not informed of the specials although other waitpersons delivered the news to their tables, and he never once checked in on me or any of his guests near my booth. Anyway, the food was good. Spinach salad was fresh with loads of toppings and the spit roasted chicken was very tasty. The meat was tender and moist. Mashed potatoes were creamy and delicious. Good food - bad service.

“One of my favorites”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2012

It has been my experience that Wildfire will never disappoint - never. I have dined at several of their locations over the years and they have all been top notch. My favorite location is the Glenview restaurant which takes reservations (highly recommended) and seats you when you arrive on time for your reservation. I've never had to wait.

The food there is always the best ever. My favorite is the Trio filet medallions with 3 different crusts on top of the little filets. And their baked sweet potato is just a most wonderful experience. It's sort of like having desert right along with your meal.

They really know how to run a restaurant here - like a well oiled machine. Great food - great service - great atmosphere - great value - never disappoints. And they make a perfect vodka martini with bleu cheese stuffed olives.

“The best of American steak n ribs”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2012 via mobile

We went for a birthday celebration. We ordered fried calamari and Ceasar salad to start then 3 filet mignonette with 3 different sauces a sirloin steak and baby back ribs. All were delicious succulent As it was a birthday celebration we bought along a cake from Gerhard Swiss bakery in Lake forest. The cake was superb and finished the dinner off very nicely. The waitress was very accommodating and helped us with photos n the cake. The atmosphere of the restaurant in general was friendly and congenial. I would recommend this place for a dinner with a date as well as a celebration. Good American fare with efficient friendly service.

“Great place and food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2012

I went to dinner here the other night with a large group from work. I order the pork special. It was fabulous. The price point was just a tad high, but only because the meal was so good I do not have an issue with it. Service was great and the atmosphere very good also.

“always solid food and service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 28, 2012

Wildfire is always packed. Reservations are a must. The service was great as usual. I ordered the short rib which was moist, meaty, and tender. It could have used some more seasoning. The side veggies were also very good but not great due to lack of seasoning. my fellow diners loved their prime rib and salmon. The group salad was very nice too. I thought I was too full for dessert but the tray my server brought out had too many temptations. So many good dishes to choose from, greta service, and a cross between an old world steak house and new world classy restaurant - this is a place you want to be.
