We attended our son's graduation from Navy Bootcamp. We tried other options, but restaurants were full and long waiting lines. My son didn't want to be late getting back to his ship and it seemed that everywhere we turned to find a restaurant, there was traffic. We passed this restaurant up because it looked more like a large diner and we wanted to eat somewhere nice. However, we were running late and unfamiliar with our surroundings so we opted to turn around and eat at this restaurant. As we starded walking in, I heard my son talking to someone and lo and behold another sailor was there with his family. We were meant to come here because this was the same family that took my son out for Christmas dinner since we lived far away. We owed them a debt of gratitude so we asked them to join us and it was our treat. Everyone enjoyed their food and they had wonderful looking cakes, but I was too stuffed to eat. The others got cheesecakes and they said it tasted great. The place wasn't fancy, but the service was good and the food was excellent! I opted for crab cakes for $8.95-where would you find great crabcakes for that price?! We were so glad to find this place and to meet the family that our son spent his first Christmas away from home with.
