“Worth finding!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2013

Having read the reviews on Tripadvisor, we decided to find this interesting-sounding cafe.
Not very easy to find, but certainly well worth the effort.
We (and our dog), were welcomed warmly and chatted to, by the husband and wife owners. The lunches we ordered (a ploughmans and a burger), were freshly prepared and were absolutely delicious.
I remarked upon how yummy the onion chutney was and was immediately offered to copy the recipe and to take some home.
The interior was unusual and quite funky, yet at the same time, homely.

We spent an enjoyable time here and highly recommend a visit.

“Wish we found it earlier”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2013

Just by chance after a trip to Porthallow we found the
Fat Apple cafe, we only intended to have a coffee but ended up staying for lunch.
Perfect!
So wish we had found it before the end of our holiday we would have returned for other meals.
The family were so welcoming and Ed the sea dog allowed our two into his den and shared lunch with us. Wonderful flavoursome food and the best chutney ever.
We have made sure that when we return to Cornwall we will go out of our way to eat there again.

A super place, situated in a stunning setting,on the edge of one of Cornwalls picturesque little fishing villages, right by the side of the coastal path,so an easy stop for all you walkers.A warm welcome is inside the door from your hosts Jacci,Ed.Hector and Phoebe, mix these guys with the plethora of tasty home produced food from local suppliers and we are sure like ourselves you won't be dissapointed, and just like Arnie',We'll Be Back'.
