“Fantastic example of a little independent business that we should support!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2012

We happened upon this little place on our way back from Gillan Creek. We only stopped for a quick snack, the chocolate brownie was superb and my daughter was completely smitten with the place (not to mention Freddie the dog!). A great atmosphere, and lovely people. We will be back soon. Such a welcome alternative - hope the business thrives! :)

“The Wren family - three generations”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

We found this amazing cafe on our coastal walk from Porthallow - from our visit the lovely family were so helpful and friendly and served the most amazing home-made cakes. In our week's stay at St Keverne we went to the Fat Apple 4 times and were treated like long lost friends The young Son and Daughter were so efficient and hands-on and it was evident what a close-knit family they were.

We had two small children with us and they loved it and said it was one of the best parts of the holiday - they were provided with toys and went to see the chickens.

We have already recommended it to family and hope to go back next year We wish them all the success they deserve..

“Memorable visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2012

This was a fantastic end to an autumnal camping weekend on the Lizard. We popped in for lunch and what a welcome! Superb food - husband declared his platter of ham and eggs the tastiest ever, our sons had delicious warming soup and bacon sandwiches apiece and I had a scrumptious scone and home-made chutney ploughmans. There's a really lovely family atmosphere here and a sense that nothing is too much trouble. Thanks so much. We'll be back for sure!

“A Very Good Find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2012

Whilst walking the South West Coastal Path on a very wet and windy Tuesday we stumbled into the Fat Apples Cafe. What a delight. Wonderful breakfast served by a very pleasant young man with a real can do attitude. We had the full fried - two eggs - followed by Tea and Toast with homemade plum jam. My dog was made most welcome although she did at some stage jump onto the sofa and made a bit of a mess as she was quite wet from the rain. Sorry. In any case if you get a chance to visit I am sure you will not be disappointed.
