“Great place for a seminar!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2011 via mobile

I stayed here 3 nights for a seminar. It was a really great place. I stayed in a tower room and initially I thought the hallways in the tower were very small. But the rooms themselves were spacious and had their own balconies. The meeting rooms were great, and they have AWESOME break areas with everything you could want to eat or drink for breaks. All of the staff were very pleasant and accommodating. Really a nice experience.

I was here for a business conference and needed help from the hotel business office. They provided exceptional service to me, and to many colleagues. Some hotels view business centers as mere profit opportunities. Eaglewood views them as an opportunity to deliver exceptional customer service, and they really did.

Wanting to destress from several issues on the home front, we booked a room by phone early in the week for the following weekend. Never having received the promised email confirmation, I sent an email inquiry to the resort but never received a response to that either. I eventually phoned and learned they had the wrong email address and confirmed our reservation but I failed to confirm the room rate. Upon check out, our room posted for about $35 more than was originally agreed to. The desk was able to adjust the bill by $25. The desk said that their email was down corporate wide for several days that week. Really, how could that happen?

The pool was nice and big and clean and virtually empty. The steam room was nice. The spa was booked and I could not get a facial. This spa/pool building is across the parking lot as others have voiced their dislike regarding that. It was a sunny summer day, so no problem in this particular situation.

I think census is down and the main restaurant was not opened for Saturday night dinner and referred diners to one single resort restaurant. A band played on the restaurant's patio. It was sort of sad as I counted 20 people attending the performance. We had a great buffalo chicken/blue cheese salad, and the buffalo chicken spring rolls were really yummy, soup okay-it was soup, and the chicken vessuvio was some chicken legs with capers but it was cooked well. Our server, Roberto, was awesome and we made sure that he knew we appreciated his service.

The room and the entire resort was very clean. Somewhat dated but very clean. The bed was uncomfortably firm. The down duvet was a nice touch but not necessary given that the AC did not really cool the room. I slept very poorly from being too hot and a hard uncomfortable bed. I phoned the desk after 1am and asked if they choked off the AC. I was told there were no maintainance staff available and I should try opening the balcony door for air. I checked the outside weather and it was very hot and sticky from the humidity left by the evening showers. No solution to a sleepless night in a hot room. We were on the 10th floor and I think that is the top floor, so maybe that had something to do with poor AC performance. This was the most disappointing because the goal of our 24 hour break was to get some rest and relaxation which is difficult to do because I was robbed of a night's sleep. I returned home to take a nap.

I might go back again depending on the price since it is so close to home. Our room fee included the restaurant breakfast buffet which had sufficient offerings to suit anyone's palate.

Went for 2 days, 1 night with 2 girlfriends. We purchased the Girls Getaway Package and booked a suite. The room was nice and clean. Prairie River Restaurant was open late and had a great menu...we had trouble deciding what to order and we all enjoyed our selections. After dinner we mingled with other guests inside the bar and also made our way to the awesome patio with live music and huge firepit. Drinks were very affordably priced.

The Spa was beautiful and the spa staff were incredible. Thoroughly enjoyed all spa treatments received! Prices were on the higher end but well worth it.

Breakfast buffet was complimentary with the package and the food was awesome, although it did seem a little understaffed.

Didn't go swimming in the pool, but I did see it. Looked very clean and not overcrowded, even on a weekend.

Would definetly go back! But wouldn't purchase a package. I would just pay as I went. We found the stack of paper coupons that we got at check-in to be cumbersome and confusing. That aside, can't wait to go back!!!

If you're hosting an event here, the Eaglewood staff will be at your beck and call. You can rest assured that everything will be perfect. But if you're just an ordinary guest...don't expect the same treatment.

The rooms are well decorated...but rather small. If you want room service, place your order long before you're remotely hungry. It takes a while. Beds are pretty comfy. Some rooms have wonderful views of the golf course. Others get a panoramic view of parking lot. Be sure to make a request your preference.

My husband and I booked the hotel's Sounds of Summer package for a quick night away from home. We went early for drinks and dinner at the Prairie River restaurant in the hotel. We had a great meal and great service! The live music was set up around the beautiful patio and firepit along the golf course and it was a great way to spend the evening! The next morning we enjoyed the breakfast that came with our package and headed home rested and relaxed! We'll definitely try to do it again before the Sounds of Summer page ends.

This was a conference with my family. From the conference presepective, the hotel was older but updated well and the conference facilities were excellent. Food was good. The wierd part is the bar or drinking facilities closed even with customers wanting to pay. They closed early (before 11pm) and actually refused to stay open even when large tips were offered. That made it difficult to complete business and really achieve the goals of relationship building. From the family prespective, the pool was great, other activities offered were above average. It was average price but when you tack on the resort fee, is a little on the high end when relating price to value. The resort fee provided little value except internet.
