“Bad room!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 week ago

The overall hotel is clean and staff friendly and helpful. Good sized indoor pool and your normal 3-4 machine workout area. Also restaurant on site, but didn't use so can't rate. So this was just a one night stay for Ravinia. Room was king size bed and sofa, very clean. Free wifi. Way overpriced, but not sure if thats because of the area, or because we couldnt sleep! Don't let them give you room 115! It was the last room on outside hall next to the door. Every time someone came in or out the door BANGED shut, not so bad during the day but when you ate trying to sleep, terrible!! We tried leaving air/fan on continuously to help with noise during night and early morning but didn't help. Staff was great and shuttle to and from Ravinia was awesome.

We were able to get a reservation with ease; the room was spacious; a shuttle to and from Ravinia was icing on the cake, as we were not familiar with the area; the hotel is close enough that we decided to walk back from the concert; our package included breakfast--so we got french toast with strawberries--and it was GREAT! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and made *THE* difference for our very first visit to Ravinia and this area.

We now have reservations for our second Ravinia trip, and we will also be going to the Botanic Garden, and Josh suggested that we let them shuttle us to the Garden as well. VERY refreshing to work with a staff that is efficient, friendly and so well-versed at making us feel welcomed and special!

Went to my son's graduation at the Navy training center. great location between Chicago and the training facility. only a half hour from O'Hare, Chicago, and the facility. Staff was very helpful with restaurant and suggesting what boat tour of Chicago to do and what is the easiest way to get there by car and by rail

Room Tip: ask not to be placed up against the highway. we were given an interior room and it was quiet

The hotel is very clean, the staff is friendly, and the rooms are nice and the bed was comfortable. It’s located at a busy intersection, and close enough to walk to Trader Joe’s, Starbucks, Marshalls, etc. There is also a gas station on the corner. Ask for a room that doesn’t face the expressway if you are noise sensitive; I noticed the car noise. Also, the walls in the hotel are thin and we did hear some hallway and neighboring room noise, but nothing too disturbing. We stay whenever we attend Ravinia Music Festival. They offer complimentary shuttle to and from Ravinia. Be sure to sign-up in advance for the shuttle to Ravinia. The return is first come first serve from a designated location nearby Ravinia grounds. Depending on whether they are running one or two shuttles makes a difference on wait time. It is also walkable if you are a good walker, but only advise during daylight.

Room Tip: Request an interior courtyard room as they are quieter.

This place is great. The hotel was clean, comfortable, great staff, and walking distance to good restaurants. I've stayed here twice and will be back if I need to return to the area. The suites are roomy and the second time I brought my two children and they enjoyed themselves and the hotel.

Stayed for one night using rewards point. Decent size room. Lobby was newly renovated. Location was pretty good. Near major highways and a large high end shopping mall. Not too many food choices near the hotel (at least ~8-10mins drive).

Wall was a bit thin...the person staying next door had their TV cranked up pretty loud and I could hear everything. Other than that, no major issues.

Note that there is another Courtyard on the very same road just 2 miles down. I showed up at the wrong courtyard first and they promptly called the other location to confirm my reservation was indeed at the other location. According to the receptionist this mix-up practically happen on a daily basis.

Dear mcmug2002,

Thank you for taking the time to review the Courtyard Highland Park. We appreciate hearing the feedback about the rooms and the hotel. Also, that is a very good note that you mentioned about the two Courtyards on Lake Cook Road. Our Courtyard is the one that is closer to Highway 41 as well as Ravinia Festival and the Chicago Botanic Gardens.

We booked here for a couple of nights at the end of our Route 66 trip. The hote was easy to find and right off the interstate. Check in was quick and easy and the room was quite spacious. The beds were clean and comfy and all the usual hotel amenities. There was no in room safe though, which I would have liked. We had a room on the top floor overlooking the interstate, not the best of views but there was no noise. (Although we didn't have the balcony doors open at all). There is a gas station next door which was handy for snacks and drinks, although the hotel had a small shop and a cafe that does Starbucks coffee. The hotel has several hotel doors openable only with a room key which means you had short walk to the room, not having to traipse through reception every time you come and go. There was also a small pool, which looked nice but we didn't have time to use it.

Room Tip: We were on the interstate side which we didn't find noisy but if your sensitive to noise ask for...
