It's a pancake house, a small chain on the North Shore in Chicago. It's a nice chain--people stand in line to be seated and pay up a little. Here's what makes it stand out for us: it has a couple of specialty pancakes that make pancakes worth going out for. First, the apple pancake--an inch plus thick, with apples and cinnamon. Second, a German pancake/Dutch baby, an enormous fluffy pancake as it cooks, which then flattens down and is eaten with syrup and powder sugar. Both were good, and both were different from what we make at home (usually). As with most restaurants like this, the coffee is mediocre and expensive. We went to Starbucks first, drank our coffee while standing in line, and skipped coffee with the meal.
