I travel a lot and this was by far one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had.
When myself and members of our theatre troupe arrived at the hotel we were greeted by a front desk person who was less then helpful and seemed annoyed that we were asking him to split the room several ways. This was not an unreasonable request as we do this in other Comfort Inn's quite often. he finally did it but with extreme annoyance and contempt.
When I decided to go to bed around midnight I pulled back the bedsheets to discover a huge stain that could have been blood or feces or worse. I was extremely disturbed as were my two roomates.
We called the front desk who acted less then concerned. We got a new room but not until he made us come down and get the keys ourselves.
The next morning at check out we discussed the situation with the manager (who we later found out is also the OWNER and refused to give us a copy of their recent health inspection) who had the gawl to call us liars and even insinuated that we created the stain ourselves. He refused to refund our money and we as a group are now in discussion with choice hotels to get this money back.
The hotel is a dump. The hallways smelled of pot smoke and the rooms were shabby and not well maintained.
There are many other options in the Chicago area. I'd rather sleep on the roof of the Sears Tower during a blizzard then this place.
