We booked two rooms; one for my parents and another for myself, husband and toddler. We requested adjoining suites on the second floor (my mother has horrible hips due to arthritis but she's also closterphobic and cannot ride in an elevator). Upon checking in, we were informed the only suites we could have next to each other were on the third floor, which means 2 flights of stairs for my mother. There was only one suite on the second floor and they do not have suites on the first floor. My parents opted for the second floor and we got the room right above them. It was a nice room, king size bed, large desk with two chairs, a pull-out loveseat and a comfy chair with ottoman. Unfortunately my parents were not as lucky because they had an outside light shining in their room which made their sleep very difficult. That light shown just above our room which didn't make for a very good night's sleep for us either.

The pool area was very nice (all windows) and the pool was clean. The light inside of the pool was floating, so it was in minor disrepair.

Breakfast was pretty typical: waffles, bagels/bread for toast, dry cereal and hard boiled eggs.

Everyone was very nice. We would stay here again because it's very convenient to the shopping and restaurants, which is why we're in Gurnee, IL, but definitely request rooms on the opposite side of the hotel or at least away from the lights in order to get a better night's sleep.

“Excellent Stay for Six Flags Weekend”

Stayed here while visiting Six Flags for the weekend. A perfect location, close to several restaurants and the mall, less that 5 minutes from the park. Check in was easy, the room was clean and everything in the room was in working order. We booked two rooms across from each other with was very convenient with kids. The continental breakfast was superb-fresh home made waffles, fruit, muffins, cereal and bagels, yogurt, juices and coffee. This was the perfect start for the day rather than having to go out for breakfast. My feeling is in driving around Gurnee, most of the hotels are pretty comparable. There is nothing super nice although they are building a new waterpark hotel that will be ready in March 2008. If you are going to Six Flags for the weekend, I would not hestitate in recommending this hotel. This is a typical two star hotel, as advertised.

We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed it. The rooms are small, especially the bathroom, but wasn't uncomfortable. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and being so close to the attractions and nice restaurants.
The pool is small, and was VERY warm. It is in a glass dome area, so the sun's constant exposure keeps it quite warm. The hot tub was unbearable, way to HOT. Kids won't notice those things, but adults will!
Vending on 2 floors was kind of annoying, but nothing that would keep me from staying there again. It was clean and smelled nice - which is important to us!!
All in all, for what we paid, I felt we got what we paid for. The service was wonderful...friendly and helpful. I think they are doing a great job, and would reccommend this place to a friend who isn't SUPER PICKY and wants a good deal in a great location.

I stayed here back when it was a Baymont for $60 a night and enjoyed my stay. Theyre now charging over $100 a night and it's had no upgrades. The rooms are decent, but there wasnt any fridge or microwave (for a $100+ a night room, there better be!) There were minor annoyances I must not have cought the last timeI stayed there like the Ice machines being on only 2 floors, the bathroom was tiny and cramped and there were very few channels on the TV. Its in a great location if youre going to SIx FLags (as we did), but I just dont think it's worth the money

My wife and I love roller coasters and stayed here before spending a day at Six Flags. Upon arrival the lady at the front desk was wonderful. She informed us of the breakfast the next morning, and took care of us in a friendly efficient manner. The room was okay, noting spectacular. The bathroom was clean, but not immaculate. When it was time to check out we were faced with a line of people who were not being helped. After 5 min we tossed the keys on the counter, grabbed the bags and headed out the back door to the car. This is where we found the girl who was supposed to be at the front desk. She was chain smoking! Overall it was just an okay experience.
