“Moderately priced family venue, decent facility, poor food.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2014 via mobile

First time at this facility. Prices for hotel with 4 waterpark passes was about $150/nt. with Facebook discount code. Early check-in, and late check-out are available (for an extra fee, of course).

The hotel is clean and in good repair: staff was friendly and attentive, except the breakfast buffet wait staff (ours anyway).

The waterpark is a great size - a decent variety of things to do for all ages, yet manageable size and short wait times for attractions (perhaps being the 2nd weekend in January and -12F temps had something do do with that.) there are plenty of lifeguards, great water temps, and a good experience with the waterpark. There are lockers available (extra expense, of course for the waterpark guests.)

Breakfast was bland, basic institutional grade grease & carbs bufffet at about $50 for 2 adults & 2 kids - very overpriced, low grade presentation.
Lunch at the sandwich shop (1 burger, 1 gyro, 2 slices of pizza) was about $40. The gyro meat was paper-thin, and a poor sandwich, pizza was equivalent to frozen cheap grocery store pizza... Nasty, and a big ripoff.

Dinner at the "margaritaville" style restaraunt was decent (chicken fajitas were good, steak fajitas tough meat) for about $65 for 2 adults & 2 kids.

The arcade is filled with games perfected to rip off your kids, returning little or nothing for the money, except paper tickets that can be 'redeemed' for cheap carnival type trinkets. Save your money & your kids from this rip-off parlor experience....

Bottom line: great waterpark, great staff, decent hotel.
Watch for discounts, avoid the food (unless you like spending $150+ day for crappy food) & avoid the arcade!

Dear Aremsik,

Thank you for sharing your fun-tube-ulous feedback! We are pleased to hear that you found our resort to be very clean and our employees to be friendly. It seems like you enjoyed our 84-degree indoor waterpark, Lost Paradise. We’d like to believe that there is a little something for everyone to enjoy when it comes to waterslides and attractions. As for our lifeguards, they take the responsibility of protecting the safety of our guests very seriously. We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy dining in our food outlets. Please feel free to speak with a manager during your stay regarding your concerns so that they may attempt to remedy them immediately. Thank you again for sharing your review of our resort. We hope to have you and your family with us in paradise again soon!

Have a splash-tastic day!

I have been to KLC 6 times in the last 3 years. I always have a wonderful time with my family. The pools and slides are great and my 6 year old loves the arcade. The food was average and the drinks were a little pricy, usually I have snacks and bring my own drinks.

We've stayed here three times now. The waterpark is not big by any means, but I wouldn't say it's too small--just right. It has a lot of other great amentities as well, arcade, cute shops, good choice of food places, etc. A one-night stay is plenty for a place of this size, maybe two max. The rooms and waterpark itself are always clean and working up to par. However, this last stay, both my husband and I woke up with very sore backs the next morning and we don't have back issues, so I think it's time they buy new/better mattresses.

This was my first visit to Key Lime Cove. The waterpark was great for my kids, 11, 9, 4, and 2. The lines were short and the water was warm. They loved the arcade!!! It was much easier for us to travel 1 1/2 hours from Indiana to Key Lime Cove opposed to the Dells. We were really satisfied and would come back again!

Dear Chris W,

Thank you for sharing your splash-tastic comments! We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your first visit to our resort. It seems like your Lil’ Limers had fun splishin’ and splashin’ around in our waterpark, Lost Paradise. Our arcade, RipTide Reef, also appears to have been a big hit. As for our location, it can be very convenient for families that live relatively close to take a quick getaway without having to take a long drive up north. Thank you for sharing your review of our resort. Looking forward to seeing you and your family within our walls of paradise again soon!

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised with this waterpark/hotel. We did wait in a long line when we got there at the 1pm check-in, but there seemed to be a full staff at the front desk. The rooms, hotel, and waterpark were very clean. The waterpark was a little small, but my kids still had fun. The water a bit cold for me, but the temperature in the waterpark was nice and warm. Basically, there is a zero-depth pool that turns into a wave pool at times, a lazy river, 4 water slides, vortex type of ride, large kids play structure, and a tot area. Also, we had great burgers and fries in the diner. We would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: The first floor rooms are on the same level as the waterpark.

Dear srp2775,

Thank you for sharing your splash-tastic feedback! We are thrilled to hear that you and family enjoyed your stay with us in paradise. We sincerely apologize if the line at check-in was long when you arrived. Standard check-in is at 4pm but overnight guests are allowed to begin utilizing the waterpark as early as 1pm. It seems like your Lil’ Limers had fun splishin’ and splashin’ around in the different attractions within the waterpark. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed dining in our restaurant, D.W. Anderson’s. Thank you again for sharing your comments. Looking forward to your next family vacation with us!

Just got back from spending a night before New Years at Key Lime Cove. Found the place clean and not crowded at all. The Kids had a blast and enjoyed our stay. Had breakfast at the buffet, a little pricey but kids loved it and really enjoyed the omelet station and the cook there is great!

Had a slight mix up at check in which was not taken care of in a timely fashion. After returning home I sent an email to the General Manager, Dale McFarland, hope to get a response. Within 2 hours, I got a phone call from Dale who after hearing my situation was able to take of me and really made me feel at ease. I was shocked by the quick response but after speaking with Dale, felt he addressed all my concerns and I will be sure to make another visit to Key Lime just based on that fact.

Check in was a breeze. The room was clean and quiet. We stayed Sunday night to avoid the crowd on Monday. The waterpark was well-staffed on Saturday and Sunday, but less so on Monday. The lifeguards were vigilant. The game room was fully operational. Restaurant food was very good as was the service. My son and daughter both enjoyed the kids spa.Fewer attractions were available on Monday. Lockers were not available on Monday, and the waterpark opened an hour later. Most of the stay was 5 stars, but Monday was disappointing. I am glad we did not stay Monday-Tuesday.

As for our lifeguards, they take the responsibility of protecting the safety of our guests very seriously.
