“Our 2nd year and just as beautiful as we remebered”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2011

We loved this hotel so much last year we could not imagine going anywhere else. Because we are only away for 3 nights we wanted pure relaxation. This hotel is very classy, It is very quiet and peaceful. We recognised other guest from this time last year too. the staff were the same and remembered us. The standards are excellent, including rooms, service, restaurant , pool area.Just everything is perfect. The resort itself is also quiet and very beautiful. It has a harbor with many restaurant bars. We love this hotel and will definitively go again.

We have just returned from a week at the Aimia.
It' hard to say how good it was, from reception, to bar and restaurant staff, to our
lovely efficient maid in room 401, everyone was fantastic.
The Superior room was amazingly large, and the furnishings top class.
We tried several restaurants on the front and were disappointed in the quality and
the price.
To anyone who has experienced bad hotel food, we suggest you try the food in the
hotel which was both visually and gastronomically excellent.
the pool area is very good, the only complaint would be the lack of Parasols. It gets very hot and in the middle of the day, and everyone crowds under the two big ones.
All in all a very superior hotel in an excellent position!

Room Tip: Request a high floor, the views are stunning!

This was our first time in port de soller and we chose this hotel for its location, guest reviews and price (although a little more than we would usually pay) and we were not disappointed. The hotel guests are mainly German English and Spanish. Yes some of the staff did not speak perfect English as a previous guest complained about, but did he speak Spanish (thought not!) - he should go to Blackpool. The superior room was a good size with plenty of cupboard and shelf space,a tv with limited English channels but you are her to holiday not watch tv.There was a large modern bathroom with bath and large shower, the bedding was changed on the third day which was perfectly acceptable (think environmentally friendly) and the pool towels were changed every day. The room was kept spotless by the hardworking cleaners and the hotel was very clean also. Breakfast was a self-service buffet of toast, beautiful little pastries, cereals, beautifully prepared fresh fruit and various juices or you could squeeze your own oranges. There were also cold meats and scrambled egg, bacon and sausage on a hot plate. The hotel is in a good location just one street back from the sea front which makes it a bit more private. In general people did not seem to reserve deckchairs - just a greedy German couple and one English couple who reserved 2 in the sun and 2 in the shade. After not appearing at their deckchair after 3 hours i removed their towels and they came to collect them and took them back to where they were already sunbathing - how mean! This is one of the reasons why i would come back here as in general people do not reserve sunbeds. A few more umberellas would be nice though, especially in the hotter months. There were very few children in the hotel and in general it was lovely and quiet, most of the noise cam from the Hotel Eden next door but this stopped before midnight and also someone has a very noisy motorbike parked between the two hotels, probably someone working in a bar or hotel, and this is reved up several times day and night which is very annoying.

All in all we had a lovely stay and would definitely return here if the price was right.

The hotel and the rooms are always spotless, the food is great and all the staff are friendly and very helpful.
The Aimia is consistently excellent year after year and thats why so many guests return.
See you in October and thanks again for a wonderful holiday.

Nice hotel although my welcome was totally lacking. No porters or any offer of assistance on arrival. I hired a car as I was looking for a little independence. I was given a key for the car park and the instructions to it's location poor. Just a finger and a rough idea of location. The man on reception seemed completely disinterested. I asked if I could leave my case whilst I parked and he ignored me. Having been here for a couple of days this seems to be the attitude of all the staff. Having managed to park my car I returned to reception to check in. The male receptionist then broadcasted to the world 'so you have booked a superior room for single occupancy?'. I was asked to register as one would expect. He gave me my key and in detail explained if I wanted to use the sauna or ste room I needed to give 15 minutes notice. He also offered a deal on dinner. Book all dinners now and instead of €22 you can have it for €17! No offer of where the room as or where the lift was. No porter to help either, and no offer of one. I asked which floor I was on and the location of the lift, he pointed and said 'there' which was to the right of reception. In the room there in no directory on numbers to call for reception or room service. TV is difficult to work out and UK chanels limited to 3. BBC news, old films and euro sport. On day 3 and same sheets! Glasses not washed and shower still floods the floor. Pool area..... No staff to talk of. When you do find them their English in very poor. Dirty ashtrays from night before. Very few parasols so everyone is huddled together to gain shade. Wooden decking in poor repair and is very uneven. Sun loungers not very clean and the few tables available are dirty. The only people that seem to remove dirty items are the guests. 3 times in 3 days no staff at the bar as they are away doing something else. Breakfast really poor. Very little selection and staff always too busy talking. Both mornings waited 15 mins to order coffee. beech towels still not changed on day 3. Oh one good point, if you ask for ice in your room it really does arrive very quickly. Thank god cos you need it after a day here for that G & T! Really disappointing Hotel. Really needed a relaxing holiday hence a Thomsons 5* rated hotel but actually it's only 4 * but really this lack luster hotel in my opinion is 3-!

My wife and I stayed last summer in Hotel Aimia and were very satisfied with the hotel. We decided this year to return and found that the hotel maintains the high quality. The staff and specially Mr. Cespi in the reception made sure our stay was a big success. We had fine trips to Valdemossa and Fornalutx. In Puerto we had two nice meals in Restaurant Passeig recommended by Mr. Cespi in addition to nice meals in hotel.
