“Nice cozy restaurant with good Italian food.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2012 via mobile

If you are from the area and you like Italian food in a cozy family atmosphere, you will enjoy this restaurant. My party had very well priced half portions of pasta and chicken. The complimentary warm bread course was excellent. The chicken was a bit rubbery but otherwise ok. The marinara pasta was good but my 12 y.o. daughter was not crazy about the cream sauce that she had on the side of her otherwise excellent cheese ravioli. I had a nice green salad with a thick house balsamic vinegar dressing and very tasty seafood ravioli. The friendly wait staff was very helpful if not a bit hurried as one person served most of the floor. I would recommend this restaurant. Family of four with 15% coupon came to $38.

“Very accommodating and good food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2012

We were visiting from NY with our soccer team of 20 hungry 17 year olds and 13 adults. The owners were very accommodating. Service was excellent. Food was plentiful and very good. If we are back in Grays lake we will definitely be back. Thanks.

“Gluten free”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2012

This restaurant has actual Gluten free pasta and all their sauces are gluten free!!! The staff is great and they are always checking to make sure everyone receives what they are supposed to. After getting really ill at other "gluten free " restaurants I am so happy that I can trust this one.!!

“Close to home so we go there”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2012

They try hard and serve an adequate meal. Garlic dressing is best. Price is reasonable and service is average depending on how new the server is. We go there 1X week and are not disappointed. Not a special occasion restaurant.

“A local place worth trying out”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2011

This place has been around a few years now and it seems to be getting better as it ages. The spinach lasagna is not as balnd as it once seemed to be and the minestone soup seems to have more body. The chicken parmesan is one of my favorites and it always comes through. Our complaints - the wine pour is a little small for the price - and why do they charge extra for abberretta sauce. The service is good and the atmosphere has improved -- thye have glass water glasses and clothe table clothes - both points I suggested in my in-house comment card. So that means they listen too. I hope they stay around in Grayslake - it is nice to go to a family run restaurant with good honest food.
