El Torero has been around for awhile and while its just average generally stays pretty busy given that its the only decent Mexican restaurant in town. My husband and I always split the fajitas el torero and they are pretty good. The service is fast and friendly but hit and miss as to quality. I can't remember the last time we received our order correctly or had drinks refilled without asking. That being said they are always quick to fix our order when we point out that its incorrect. Their margaritas are a great price at $1.99 and taste good as long as you aren't looking for something with a kick of tequila. The alcohol content in these is virtually nonexistent but that's not surprising given the price. All in all, if I'm looking for a quick, inexpensive Mexican dinner ill head to El Torero. However, if I'm looking for great Mexican food and have some time on my hands ill head over to St Louis for dinner.
