It's ok, not great, life long Glenview resident here can't figure out why it's rated well. I'm Irish and think the food is average at best.

I admit it is an institution around here but think there are so many other options emerging in Glenview now.

Hackney's is a local institution that has a longstanding following of locals and tourists alike. Imagine entering an irish pub with some of the best Chicago foods available, consistently supurb service and a great bar. It is little wonder that Hackney's is almost always crowded and is popular with people of all ages and backgrounds. A real Chicago tradition that will not disappoint.
