I wanted a nice, "fancy" dinner while visiting Chicago from Kansas with my boyfriend. Something where we could dress up and have a romantic evening out. What I got at Cafe Lucci was that and more. We were sat by the owner who poured a bottle of wine he selected into a decanter he left at the table. Nice touch. The waiter was incredibly knowledgable of the menu and helped us out termendously as we wanted to try everything! The food was some of the best Italian food I have ever had. My boyfriend is 1/2 Italian and thought it was absolutely wonderful. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. Throughout the meal, the owner came by periodically to chat with us. As we ate desssert, he brought us a complimentary bottle of dessert wine. As we left he shook my boyfriend's hand, kissed me on the cheek, and wished us a safe trip home. This was more than just a great dinner, it was a great experience. A truly memorable one.
