“Good food but conversation very difficult”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2013

The food was reasonably good. Small portions for the price. Well prepared. Local craft beers were good.

HAD TROUBLE HEARING PEOPLE RIGHT NEXT TO ME!

Seriously. There were a few people talking in the room, but the acoustics were so bad I had to keep asking my dinner guest to repeat themselves. It was so bad at one point we almost went out to talk over a critical portion of the discussion.

“A Hidden Secret in the W. Suburbs”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

This is a wonderful restaurant, newly redesigned, with a reasonably priced menu. Believe it or not, its Mac and Cheese (with wine of course) is an awesome meal that has even been featured on some of the Chicago restaurant shows. We love this place. If you go midweek, it is quiet and extremely welcoming.

“Hidden gem - especially for gluten free”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2013

This is probably one of the best restaurants in the area! They have a great variety of fresh food at a fair price. There are so many options for people that are gluten sensitive. The macaroni and cheese is not to be missed.

“Sooo Noisey, I could not stay for dinner”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2013

Their floors are not covered and the nose level from even small groups is very high. Breakfast buffet is OK, but not great.

“What a Gem !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

My husband and I treated my brother and sister in law to dinner last night at Glen Prairie for their birthdays and it was wonderful !! We had never been there before, but the restaurant was featured on a TV program recently and looked so inviting, we just had to try it.
Our server, Emily, was delightful. She timed the arrival of everything we ordered just right, so we never had a lot of dishes on the table at one time. We had the mushrooms with horseradish sauce as an appetizer and they were the best ! My husband and my brother both had corned beef and cabbage (hey ! It was St. Patrick's Day) I had the fish and Chips and my sister in law had the patty melt...we all loved what we had ! We also tried some of the mac and cheese that we saw featured on TV and it was the best. Crispy on top and creamy and delicious underneath the crust. We appreciated that the restaurant was so peaceful and quiet..a perfect atmosphere for a celebration.

This is not an inexpensive place to dine, but for a special occasion, it's perfect !!
