We've been to Galena many times, but now that we've discovered this bed and breakfast, we won't bother looking for anywhere else to stay. Our unit was located in what was originally an ice house for a brewery that was located next door in the 1850's. The building has 27 inch walls and really blocks out any noise from the highway close by. Our room was decorated beautifully with the owner's own art work. We had a sitting room attached to our bedroom with a couch, a wing chair, small fridge and TV. The huge breakfast in the morning was excellent and was served in the owner's cozy kitchen. Sandy was very friendly and interesting to talk to. She felt like an old friend even though we just met her. The B & B also has a building with a sauna and hot tub. The price to stay here is very reasonable, and I'm already planning a return trip later this year.
