My daughter and her friend and I stayed one night at this Four Points. I've never stayed at one of these hotels, but found it on the internet at a good price with good reviews. It was great. We were just down the road from St. Clair Square (mall) and close to everything, including St. Louis. The front desk folks were really nice and accommodating; the room was really clean; the beds were really comfy. They advertise free bottled water, but you only get one per room and then it's $2 a bottle so we went down to Walgreens and bought a 12 pack. They have a very small restaurant but there a loads of restaurants nearby so it really isn't necessary. A small continental breakfast would be nice, but not expected. We plan to stay there again when we have another "girls weekend."
We loved the room, the bed was the best! very comfortable and great pillows. The comforter was awesome! The only negative thing is the toilet. When the toilet was flushed, it was extremely loud and flushed the water with the speed of an airline toilet. Other than that, it was a very enjoyable stay.
I, my wife and granddaughter stayed at the Four Points January 12, 2008 while visiting relatives. This property was immaculate in every way! We were given an early check in (noon) with no problem. The beds were comfortable with soft pillows. The heating/ac unit was the quietest I have seen in a hotel in this price range.
There is a small well lit restaurant and bar on property. No smoky
smell in the common areas or our room on the fourth floor.
Tops in customer service. Despite double checking the room my wife left one ear ring on the bathroom counter. On our way back to Kansas City I told her to call the hotel even though it would probably do no good. She received a call on Monday telling her they had the ear ring and would return it. Amazing, we figured it lost forever.
Anytime we go back this is where we will stay.
Uncomfortable bed with polyester sheets badly pilling and one of those awful plastic velux blankets. Windows do not open and noisy in-room air conditioner/heater did a poor job of keeping temperature below 75 degrees. Every glass provided in the room had been used even though they had little "clean" caps on them. Room was not made up following the first night and maid woke me pounding on the door the second morning despite a do-not-disturb sign. Free in-room high-speed internet and good-sized desk for business travelers are about the only bright spots.
