Took 3 kids (13, 12 and 9) to this hotel for the Mayan waterpark. Stayed for one night, Saturday night. We had a king bed w/sofa sleeper (two boys slept there and asked for a rollway bed to accommodate the third child (girls). Hubby and I had the king bed. The room did accomodate 5 people comfortably. Room was clean and neat, king bed was comfy. I was glad the king room was at the very end of the hallway around the corner from the other rooms with the uncontrolled kids. I think most families booked the rooms w/double beds. Asked for more towels for bathroom and toiltrees and housekeeping brought them promptly....that was a plus. The kids loved the waterpark. It was very crowded. The hotel needs improvements. Kids eat free in Hangtime restuarant. Hubby and I had the buffet for $10.00. Not bad. Chicken and beef were on the buffet and were seasoned well. Kids ate free burgers and fries. Now about the waterpark. It was crowded, crowded. The lazy river ride looked like a roller derby, some of the adults on the river ride were worse than the kids. But the kids loved it....hubby and I did not get in the water, we sat and watched/supervised our kids. We told the kids not to get in the larger pool with the basketball hoops.....the adults practically took it over and were playing a very physical and aggressive game. Took kids in the arcade (similar to chuck e cheese) you play games and win tickets to trade in for prizes. All in All we did it for kids and they had a good time so that is all that matters, right?
