The hotel was up to date. The rooms were nice, clean, and comfortable. I had a double bed room where the beds are big and comfy. The breakfast menu was good. Checkout was fast and friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and I would stay again.

This hotel is quite cozy, rooms are newer and SUPER CLEAN! The staff at this hotel was also really friendly and even helped us with our bags when they saw us struggling. The rate was also really cost efficient and provided a free airport shuttle. I usually do not write reviews but decided that this hotel deserved on because I am seldom impressed with any hotel.

Needing a convenient overnight stay between flights through Ohare airport, I read the reviews posted by some of this motel, and decided to reserve a room despite the poor experience of some travelers. I have had good experiences with La Quinta in the past.
What a pleasant surprise when I checked in. The motel had recently been remodeled and the staff was friendly and helpful. My room was comfortable, quiet and adequate. The beds were recently replaced, and medium firm, which I prefer. The only complaint I have, is the small size of the toilet and shower area. There is barely enough room to turn around. But this is only my personal view. I would stay here again when in Chicago.

Don't bother going to the front desk for anything. Including room assignments, new keys, bill print outs, etc. They will be of no use to you. Constant construction going on, never seems to be finished. Outdated room, the doors slamming because they don't work properly will be heard all through the nights. Certainly would not recommend.

We ended up stranded in Chicago due to flight cancellations. Gave LaQunita O'Hare a call and their shuttle was able to pick us up in about 1/2 hour. The room was fine, clean, huge bathroom, comfortable bed, no complaints. When we made reservations the gal gave us the AAA rate of $65/night. We ordered carry out from a local restaurant and they delivered directly to our room. Took the shuttle back to the airport the next morning. All in all, a good place to stay. FYI - the hotel is about 15-20 minutes from O'Hare. Farther than I thought it would be for an "Airport" Hotel.

With a one-day layover between flights on Dec 17/18 2013, my wife and I booked into this hotel based on our previous very satisfactory stays at other La Quinta Inns and the advertised shuttle service to O'Hare.
We called a day in advance to confirm the shuttle arrangements. We were asked the number of our arrival terminal told to collect our bags and wait outside at the shuttle stop. This we did for about 1 hr in freezing conditions as shuttles came and went but none for our hotel. Finally we called and the receptionist and she said she would "send a shuttle". It came eventually - a small station wagon - and was clearly not running a regular pick-up but waiting for a call-out.
When we arrived and handed in a credit card we were told that we had already been charged based on the card used to make the booking as we were late arrivals. We wanted to use another card, but let this pass.
Next morning we asked if we could leave our bags at reception as we wanted to go downtown and return to take the shuttle for our flight. Turns out there was no shuttle available that would get us to O'Hare remotely within a time window that fitted in with our other plans. We pointed out that shuttle services were advertised but his fell on deaf ears. We decided to take the shuttle then available (not the station wagon but a shuttle for other hotels that this hotel obviously relied on) in the hope of checking in early and at least getting rid of our checked bags even if we had to lug our carry-on bags around during sightseeing. Unfortunately the departure desks for our flight were not open and we ended up booking into another hotel at the airport on a "day rate" just to have somewhere to leave our luggage.
When we got home on Jan 5th we found that our card had been charged before we arrived - as we had been told - and then again after we checked out. We called the hotel and the receptionist said she would have to "check with the manager". We waited a few days then filed a dispute with our credit card company but still have not got a refund.
Our experience is very much at odds with that at other La Quinta Inn hotels so our advice is to avoid this particular hotel - not the whole chain.

Room Tip: Rooms are not the problem; staff is.
