“Very solid buffet”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2014

I had a terrific lunch here yesterday. Lunch was $15, which for all the choices on the buffet, is very reasonable. Individual pasta dishes, (ravioli, lobster mac and cheese) were really good. The jambalaya that was served was excellent. I like spicy foods, so I was happy, but it may be stronger than many would enjoy. They also had some delicious brazilian sausages. If you have a sweet tooth, they have many choices, including a tiramisu gelato which was really good. Not everything was a home run. The fish and chips lacked flavor and tasted a little stale. The fries that accompanied the individual dish were cold. I passed on the pizza, which didn't look too terrific, and there are many better choices. Service was very good and with quick refills and the drink machine, I never had to wait long for anything. Overall, it was a very good experience and when I return to the GVC to gamble, I will stop back, although it sounds like dinner isn't quite as successful as lunch, based on other reviews.

“Indulge- avoid!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2014

Brutal! Usualy the food at casinos is pretty good, as its a lure to get you in. Epic failure here. Cold, dry, bland, or over cooked are your choices. I went recently for dinner, arriving about 5:15. Most of the food was left out from lunch, and there wasn't a heavy lunch crowd that day. Alot of the entrees were untouched. Dessert was the best part, but even the parfait was stale, as were the cannolis. The restaurant has recently been redone, and they spent a small fortune doing it, but the food is awful. I went a few months back in the fall and it was just ok then. So sadly till something changes, take a pass on this eatery.

“Exceeded my expectations - beautiful decor, delicious food - go for lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2013

In theory, I love the variety of food choices at buffets, but in reality, I do not prefer the crowds (waiting in line to get in or for the food). They key - go for lunch. Not only is there little crowd but the cost is 1/2 of that for dinner. Beautifully renovated decor and delicious food - lobster mac & cheese, buttermilk fried chicken, spinach hummus, tacos, ribs ... and then all of the desserts.

“Waste of money....”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2013 via mobile

Decor is different.. food has NO flavor, meats are either over or under cooked but no flavor. we tried the steak, it was VERY chewy. Mashed potatoes tasted like nothing but butter. Pasta was dry. Desserts were average. Gelato was ok. I was dissapointed it would have been nice and convenient before or after playing at the casino.

“Buffet at casino”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2013 via mobile

Nice buffet with good choices. Not anywhere near as large as the Las Vegas buffets.

Good choice of desserts and the kids will like the 100 choices of soda from the pop machine.

Ask for a table with a view of the river.
