We have been going to Burnt Toast for years, ever since they opened. The service and food quality had been declining, and we gave them a break for about 6 months. Yesterday, my wife and I decided to give them another try.
We were seated promptly, and our server greeted us at our table right away. She continued to check in with us often throughout our meal, which told me that they had been focusing on improving their service.
I had the Country Fried Steak and Eggs, The portion of the Country Fried Steak is about half of what it used to be, but they have not had a price increase for a while, so I guess that offsets each other. The food tasted very good, The country fried steak was cooked just right, and the hashbrowns were served hot. One of my pet peeves is when restaurants seem to have a hard time serving hot hashbrowns. Burnt Toast was having this problem for a while, but they seem to have overcome this problem yesterday as they were piping hot.
My wife had the tuna salad melt, which she said was very good. She had had a disappointing sandwich at another restaurant the previous evening, so she said this helped to make up for it. She said the flavor was good, and the sandwich was grilled just right.
All in all, if this trend continues, we will be visiting Burnt Toast on a regular basis again. Keep up the good work.
