I remember the first time Earl a front desk clerk that took 18 minutes to check me in and then during a breakfast I saw him digging through the garabage (not a sanitary thing to do). Recently, I stayed at this property and found the staff too gossipy he said she said and I wasn't too delighted to know other people's business. I stayed in a King Suite and the price was not worth the stay and I should have gone to the Hilton Garden just in the same area as the wal-mart. I told trip rewards about my unpleasant stay and the GM (Tony) I think is his name was not professional at all and did not want to bring the issue to an honest resolve and hides behind franchise standards vs. Corporate Policies as a whole. Too Bad! he would have made a good telemarketer for them...The so-called wireless internet access was not all that good either. The location is accessible to numerous restaurants. I spoke to a local who said that effingham is overdeveloping and is dependent on families and companies with an abundant resource of financial accesses. The person Bertha was absolutely correct in her observation especially after the fact that she no longer works there.
BRING BERTHA BACK PLEASE!!!!!
