August 2003 We have stayed at Econo Lodges before, but never had an experience like this in our lives. I almost stepped on a dirty razor blade on the bathroom floor. The carpets were filthy and the recliner was falling apart--material all frayed. In fact my husband would not even sit in it. When we went to get into the bed, the sheets were stained (had not been washed!), etc. We will never go back there again.
Sure they offered adeluxe breakfast, but we didn't stay long enough to try it! We checked out and got our money back, and when we found another motel in the same city that night, we were told another couple had just come from this motel also.
