We found this Inn just driving around Effingham on the way to Ohio and I was so glad we did. They had free breakfast, a clean pool, and the Inn looked completely remodeled. The best part was, the room was only 45 a night WITH tax. How can you beat that? We sure will be going back. Happy traveling...

Our stay on 07-14 was a pleasant one. The king suite, which included a large whirlpool was clean and well maintained. We also enjoyed the large outdoor pool which was 12' deep, very unusual for a hotel. The staff was very helpful and friendly, we won't hesitate to return.

Room #159 (6/08-6/09)was poorly maintained. The shower was a disgrace, the curtain was mildewed, and the entire bath looked unclean. The bottom sheet on both beds was just "applied" leaving the mattress showing. It was a nights struggle to keep the sheet in place. The outside area was littered and one could see it had not had any attention for some time. The comment card had been filled out previous to our stay but remained in the case. "They" reported problem with the shower head and said the toilet seat was loose. This was my second stay at a less than desirable Days Inn, the other at Days Inn Plainfield.
