Great food and atmosphere. My wife and I had the bfast burrito and quiche. Both were phenominal. Looking forward to coming back and trying one of their delicious sandwiches.

“Artisan Is Right On”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2012

First, let me tell you that I started out finding a coffee shop across the street that I liked although their food wasn't very good. So, I saw Artisan and decided to get my coffee and go across the street and try a 222 baked good. I did this routine for a month until I met my friend at Artisan and ordered my coffee there, as well. Not only was their food better but their coffee is better, too.

Now, for the foodie low down. Everyone who is "in the know" gets there early for their baked oatmeal. Soft, warm, crunchy with whatever flavor you choose is the best breakfast in town and that's the truth. The name doesn't do it justice. I took my mother there one time and she insists on going every time she visits (which seems like a lot lately!). Whenever they are sold out, that's it for the day and it happens pretty early some mornings. But, when they are sold out they make a jack and turkey croissant and some insane breakfast burritos that take a close second.

Their coffee is Goshen Coffee which is a local organic line and it's great. The flavor is heads and tails above anything else local. Try it one time and you will be one of the coffee snobs that walks around saying how Starbucks is crap! (Unless you need a drive-through coffee on the other side of town.) They sell the coffee beans whole and ground there, too so it's convenient.

I have ordered MANY things for different events. No matter how challenging my requests are they get it done and better than expected. They have made tart crusts for a "Queen and King of Hearts Valentines Party" where the kids stuffed them with fruits and fillings of their choice. They have made cupcakes with all kinds of centers, icings and sizes for me. (Try carrot cake cupcakes stuffed with cream cheese icing) They have made croissants and cakes for me, all of which were fantastic. FYI - The flavors can be a little "grown up" so for kids expecting pure sugar taste, this is not the place to order from.

There is always a group of people inside chatting away that are fun to listen to but I prefer to sit on the bench outside in front of the bakery. It's great for people watching attorneys, locals and criminals walking to and from the courthouse.

Everything is reasonably priced. Lunch has great choices, too, but, when it comes to 222, I'm an early bird patron!

Service is great! ALWAYS! Have never, ever had bad service!

“Bakery & Coffee Shop - Perfect !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2010

Deb does a great job with special cakes and all of the bakery goods. The $2.50 you will pay for a danish is well worth the experience. Goshen Coffee is one of the best local coffee roasters - does not get any fresher than that! Try to avoid Matt at check out he can be a real jerk -
They sell out fast so get in early.
