Camped there last night, was a music festival on for charity, friendly locals, great beer, tidy site, showers and toilets OK if nothing special although for £7 (without electricity) I've no complaints.
Will go again

Room Tip: Its a campsite, ring in advance

Excellent food both bar snacks and restaurant menu available both at very reasonable prices , good selection of beers and wines. super location next to the canal and with its own camp site. nice little village setting and well worth a visit if your in the area.

Room Tip: we slept in an awning on the campsite which was quiet and we had a good nights sleep.

I have been to The Globe a few times both with my caravan and formally by narrowboat at it is canalside but had not visited for about 18 months. Our intended stay was 2 nights on the caravan site at the back of the pub but we extended it to 3. What a surprise when we arrived! There are differnt owners from our last visit and the whole place has had a facelift which is still ongoing, the whole building has been freshend up and is really clean and a pleasant relaxing place to spend time for a drink inside or out where ther is ample seating, there is also a lovely revamped garden with play equiptment for the children. Now for the food! The food was absolutely top quality, an ample amount and a VERY reasonable price. It is of a much higher standard than you would expect from a country pub, probably down to the very experienced and friendly chef who cares about his food and uses top quality fresh ingredients, I had the smoked haddock and my husband had lamb rogan josh which were both delicious.
The staff without exception were all very friendly and highly effficient and made everone feel welcome.
The Globe is a hidden gem and I would highly reccommend seeking it out !!!

As we were moored at Snarestone we chose to visit The Gobe Inn. We were immediately made very welcome by both bar staff and the owners, as we were boaters the TV was put on the right channel for us so that we could watch the BBC One Show item on The Ashby bats. We all had delightful meal, as two of our party have dietary requirements we were impressed with the staff's knowledge on the food. Thanks for really lovely meals; we all felt very ‘looked after’ well done! Well be back next time we’re up The Ashby.

Room Tip: We only had a meal.....moorings are good though!
