4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2012

I have stayed at the East Peoria Super 8 several times when traveling in the area on business. I have always found friendly staff and clean and comfortable accommodations.

We was called and told that our Uncle was not doing well and they were transferring him to OSF in Peoria. We planned a trip the trip at the last minute. After searching the internet for over an hour, we called the Super 8 in East Peoria, they said they had rooms, we went ahead and reserved our room and recommended to other family members. We arrived at the hotel approx. 5:30 am Saturday Morning and was treated like we were royalty. The desk staff, knew we were coming and had room info for the other family members that arrived before us. We were only able to stay a short time Saturday morning before we received the call. We left and returned early afternoon to freshen up. By this time, we had already missed room make-ups. We asked at the desk if we could have our room made up, she said that the housekeeping staff had already left, but she said they will see what they can do. We had left to spend time with the family, upon our return, they had cleaned up the room. They made us feel like we were at home. Rooms were great!! Breakfast was awesome!!! Service was Awesome. I will stay there anytime I am around the Peoria area again. Thanks Super 8 staff!!!

We are glad you stayed with us but sorry for your loss. Your whole family was really nice and I wish it was a different reason that we got to meet. You are in our prayers and anytime you’re this way give me a call.

We (wife and four kids) went to Peoria last weekend to visit my daughter studying in Bradley University. We normally would pick a higher-end brand like Marriot or Hilton but has limited options since my daughter requested for us to bring our newly adopted dog with us.
We picked this hotel through a listing from BringFido.com. Location was not exactly "scenic" It is next to an auto body repair shop but it is next to the interstate exit, It takes five minutes to drive to Bradley University.

Check-in was quick and desk staff was polite. We were assigned 2 rooms next to each other. The hallway stenched of cigarette smoke but did not complain when the smell did not carry-over the rooms. Linens and pillows appear worn down but smelled fresh. Fridge, microwave and coffee maker a plus with 5 constantly snaking kids. WiFi was reliable and fast during our stay. Breakfast was fresh, waffle maker a treat for the kids. Coffee was weak.

Overall adequate for our trip for that weekend.

Thank you for you comments.
We are upgrading all linen this year. Super 8 Worldwide has a great new set of bedding we are excited to get. As soon as the Manufacturers get up to speed and they can start producing the mass quantities we will have them .I know that sometimes when we are full the smoking floor gets a little thick of smoke up there, especially if you are a nonsmoker. We now allow pets in all rooms and would be glad if you’re a nonsmoker get you down here so its better for you. We hope you give us the opportunity to serve you again .Feel free to call me direct and I will get you the exact accommodations you want.
Again thank you for staying and your comments are appreciated.

I picked this Super 8 for price and for the good reviews for an economical getaway for my daughters 14th birthday with a few friends. We got to the desk and were informed that our King suite had been booked for over a month by someone else, and even though I booked through the Wyndham site it went through. I was accomdated by a double queen bed, which ended up to be $10 cheaper, with a roll away, which was fine. The room was very dusy, and the tv seemed to have a short in it. I finally secured the cable connections on the back of the tv, good as new. The girl at the front desk was very nice, but seemed they had a lot of issues with rooms and another suite had a broken bed when the visitors checked in. The housekeeper we encountered was very friendly. The breakfast was soso, nothing special. Bagels, cereal, toast, and the normal waffle maker. Overall the stay was ok. Not the best, not the worst. The other people staying were loud and came in at all hours, so not really a "kid friendly" place. There are also no restaurants immediately close as per the website for this hotel. It states there is a Monicals nearby.

Thank you for staying with us and I am sorry your stay had some down sides .Our hotel is usually quiet there was a special event in town some kind of music festival. I was called about the noise and we did remove 2 rooms from the property. I hope you give us another try to make it up to you. feel free to contact me personally and I will make your reservation.
Thank You again

We are usually reluctant to stay at any of the discount hotel chains because they are so hit and miss in quality and cleanliness. We can say without exception that this is by far the cleanest Super 8 (or any cheap motel) we have ever stayed at. We visit East Peoria/Peoria several times a year and have stayed at this hotel four times in the past three years and each time it has been spotless. If you are visiting the Peoria area and you want a very affordable hotel (around $60!) that is exceptionally clean and neat then stay here. If you want fancy surroundings then spend a hundred dollars more for the Mark Twain or the Pere Marquette.

I had to move out of my home and had to stay in a Hotel for two weeks before being able to get into our new home.
We have pets.
This Hotel allows pets and they were great about it.
Nice and clean. Employees great.
Definitely recommend for pet owners.

The Super 8 at Eas Peoria is located right next to the Interstate74. The Hotel already had his best days but is still okay. Roomas are mostly clean. Rates are cheap (I paid 47$) and they have the Super8 free continental breakfest. Free WiFi is also included an the rooms featuring a fridge, microwave and working desk.
If you stay there make sure you get a room which is facing NOT to the Interstate. Especially when you are in the second or third floor it will be noisy.
For me it was a good stay and I could safe some money.
