“Hospitality, setting and experience of a lifetime!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013

Please visit this restaurant soon. It is truly something to do before you die and has to be seen to be believed. A perfect oasis of warmth, comfort and great food.

The ease with which this young couple are providing something truly special is way beyond their years. This little bit of magic is a highly exclusive, unique experience. It warrants global status for the combination of comfort, relaxation and fun.

Get the train here, walk-in, jump in your helicopter. This gem will become a raging success - get there soon!

“Idyllic food and location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2013 via mobile

What a wonderful experience all round. A stunning walk around Loch Ossian started and finished with fantastic food and service. The welcome could not have been warmer, nothing was too much to ask for. The food was beautifully cooked and presented. From the light lunches to the venison burgers / sausages & sea bass in the evening, not forgetting the puddings, the food was excellent.
Dog friendly is always a must for us and the owners could not do enough for our hound too. Their own dog, Archie, is a star.
Everyone in the party said that this was as near perfect day we have had so far
Thank you all.

“The Restaurant at the End of the Universe - Amazing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2013

We walked the 18 miles from Spean Bridge across uninhabited, snow-blasted moor and mountain. Gradually the speck in the middle of the moor grew into a building. Stumbling in from the cold to find a log fire and real ale on draft felt like a mirage in the desert. Fully expected to wake up and find myself back on the moor. Excellent food and brilliant service from the young couple running it. Wild mushroom soup - venison burger and a good cheeseboard - all beautifully cooked and presented and more reasonably priced than many more accessible places. The only nervous moment was catching the train back in the pitch dark. It's a request stop and you are supposed to wave a torch to the guard. The rail trip to get there is fantastic as well. The scenery never stops.

“Great food and service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2013

I ate here on a Sat night. Food was excellent (local hare and venison), room was cosy which was a relief as it was a blizzard outside! Great service and very tasty food at good prices for the quality. The hosts even made a special vegan cake for my brother. Overall very helpful and friendly service and excellent food. Well presented and tasty and of course all of the basic things were done well e.g. food arrived at same time and was piping hot. Also stopped off for a beer and a juice before the train home on Sunday and again the service was excellent. We spoke to the chef for a while who took the time to chat and talk about the origin of some of the game. Good job guys. I will definitely be back.
PS One small improvement I would suggest, which may have been considered already - some olives / bread / nibbles with the drinks would be hugely welcomed by the hungry walkers!

“Amazing dining experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2013

If you are looking for somewhere different to dine out, jump on the Fort William to Glasgow train and get off at Corrour where you will find the Station House Restaurant. Its high up in the hills in the middle of nowhere but a warm and friendly welcome awaits. The food is delicious, local produce which can be washed down with a Corrour beer. There's time to relax before getting the train back to Fort William. A unique experience - something different to do on a Saturday night but remember to book.
