I stayed on october, only one night, because the price, for only one night, it's not worth to pay more, as the matter of fact from 9:00 pm to 5:00 am, I had to catch an early flight, at the begining everything seems right, a clean lobby, the front desk attendant was polite, he gave me a room in the second story almost at the end, it was a long walk, but it's o.k. the price $ 112.00 per night, hoping that it's going to be a decent room, but then in the corridor, I feel a humidity smell, as soon as go inside the room, was clean but the smell was worst, but anyway, I though I'm going to get accustomed, the room was o.k. I had to work at least a couple of hours in my laptop, doing some memos, but the wireless didn't work, I try to access several times, but was impossible, sometimes I get access for couple of minutes, but that's it.
I went to the frondesk to check what's going on, and another person told me that because it's so far from the system, the only option is to come to the lobby and work there, I turn my head and I saw 2 other clients using their laptops in their knees in a couch, I told that I don't like the idea because I have a lot of papers to work on, then I ask if it's possible to change my room, then an old angry lady told me that that's impossible because they're full, I asked her if it's possible to check again, because for me the hotel is not full, in the parking lot, there's no more than 10 cars and it was 10:30 pm. alittle late, so, I ask to check again, she didn't check she begin to getting mad and told me that it's impossible, for her reaction, I told her that I prefer to change of hotel, she told me that is o.k. but the credit card was already charged, and there's no refunds.
I began to get angry and reaction about that, the manager show up and I explain my situation, he told me that I can use an office and I can use the internet cable there, at the end I did that, the office was really dirty, but anyway, I finished late, go to sleep, the pillows and sheets, smell pretty awful, for sure they didn't wash it for a week or more, and in the morning in my felt my skin ichi, in 3 or 4 different spots, for sure some bugs bit me.
I will never return to this hotel, I travel to Chicago twice a month, for the last 8 months, and I never been before in this one, I usually go to Holiday Inn, Hampton Inn, not really expensive hotels, and believe me, never like this hotel, worst experience in the hotel.

having had a flight cancelled on a rotten night at o'hare we went seeking accomodation for the night. all the "chain" hotels at the airport were booked up but a kind bell captain at the hilton put us in contact with the des plaines inn and we booked up for the night at $99 for the room. without my usual tripadvisor check to fall back on it was with trepidation that we arrived at the hotel but was pleasantly surprised, front desk were extremely friendly and accomodating, had us in a room in 10 mins. room was large with a huge bed. heating worked a treat as it was very cold,shower/bathroom were clean with clean towels and toiletries. was impressed for the price we paid. they do a free continental breakfast in the morning but we went to the diner called tiffanys across the parking lot, lovely food and service. the hotel also has a pc in the lobby that has broadband and was free for guests,a nice touch!would recommend this hotel if you find yourself on an overnighter at o'hare and don't want to pay big bucks to a chain hotel for one night.

This is now known as Des Plaines Inn & Suites. We stayed at this hotel near O'Hare the night of July 31st as we had an early flight the next morning. Checked in late cos we drove from an outer suburb and checked out at 6am. Overall, our stay in the room lasted about 7 hours. The front desk was professional and polite and the breakfast was okay.

Slept for about 5 hours. The bed was okay, linens were coarse but clean. Everything in the room worked, although the shower curtain had mildew at the edges. Checked out the next morning and when the front desk guy asked how the stay was, we said it was excellent -- we had had an uninterrupted night's sleep and were ready to meet the new day.

Later that day, I felt an itching on my left shoulder and all along my left flank. When I inspected my torso in the mirror, I saw that the cause of the itching was several raised red round marks, much like mosquito bites. It was then I realized that these are bed bug bites (I sleep on my left)! The itching was quite intense and all in all I had about 13 bites spread over my left shoulder, left flank, and tummy area.

I would warn fellow travellers as the research I have done on bed bugs since indicate that if one room is infested, other rooms are likely to be too, especially if the property in question is a hotel.

I will never go back to this hotel. The room number was #154.

“A good stay when stranded at O'Hare”

Comfort Inn O'Hare

I spent the night here after being stranded at O'Hare. The rate was the distressed airline passenger rate of $39.The shuttle ride took about 10 minutes from O'Hare. I happened to be on a full van, and I was the last one to get out, so I had to wait a little bit to be checked in. One inconvenient point is that you need to put down a deposit to use the phone in the room for local calls. The room was neat and clean. There was a king size bed, a small desk with high speed internet access (if you pay for it), and an easy chair. The TV was a standard 19-20 inch, with the local networks plus a few cable channels. In the morning, there was a continental breakfast with juice, cereal, bagels, and muffins.Considering the cheap price, this was a decent stay for stranded passengers.

“It's good”

Comfort Inn O'Hare

I liked the place. Don't know what it was like as a Comfort Inn, but it seems good now. For the price paid it's outstanding value - it's clean, everything works and the staff were fine & good to deal with. Only downside was they'd reduced a few services and the advertising clearly hadn't caught up with that fact yet - could be a problem if you were relying on those particular services.
