The transition to the Days Inn chain must have resulted in a completely improved hotel--we had a very pleasant stay, and the staff were perfectly accommodating. The room was large, modern, and only starting to show sings of wear. The shuttle driver was extremely helpful and itching to share his knowledge of the area, the front desk staff were friendly and prompt, and everything about the stay--down to the guy who cooked the eggs at breakfast--was more than I expected for the budget price.
Downsides: the shuttle is no longer 24 hours, as the website advertises. Other than that, there was no sign of the problems that the other reviews mention.
(Interesting note: one front desk shift keeps a pair of parakeets around in the morning, without a cage. Fun! Unless you're a hygiene freak.)
