The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was extremely clean, cleaner than most big chain hotels on the Mag Mile. It was very quiet and we will be choosing to stay here again rather than one of the bigger, busier hotels.

We have stayed with the Silversmith three times and the staff is fantastic. the rooms are super and the location is near things you might want to do in Chicago - Theatre, Shopping, Milleneum Park, or just walking around.

This was our first stay at The Silversmith and we will definitely be going back. The location was perfect. We had no plans, just an overnight in the city. It was a snowy, cold weekend, but the hotel was located within walking distance to many fun places. Our adventure took us to Sweetwater Tavern, the top of the Wit Hotel, and the bar at Trump Tower - all great places. St Peter's was walking distance also for Sunday mornng Mass. The hotel was cozy, clean and very comfy. The staff was awesome, especially Enrique who helped with the bags and the car. Great service all around. We used a Groupon, it was a great value. Recommend if you want to be near Millennium Park and the Theater District.

Ok, I confess. It was the great Groupon deal that helped the Silversmith catch my eye. But it was a great experience and we would happily stay there again. Location can't be beat since its right at Wabash and Madison. The rooms had very high ceilings, comfy beds and nice bathrooms. It was very quiet and it felt as if very few others were staying at the hotel. The staff was very polite and accommodating. Our rate included a full breakfast with eggs, bac, pancakes, etc. I was only expecting a muffin or roll. Only critique is the peculiarity of noting that many of the room entry doors on the 4th floor were badly sized. You could see gaps both under and at the top of some of the doors. I mentioned it to the clerk at checkout and she promised to mention it during upcoming plans for additional renovations. Stay here!

Stayed on a Groupon deal. Great location for theaters and shopping. Summer would be great as it is only a block from millennium park. Courteous staff, clean well appointed room. Good breakfast. Quick valet parking. What a little treasure in the middle of the city. We'll be back!

Room Tip: West rooms are quiet. The east rooms may be noisier as the "L" goes down the street in fron...

We had a Groupon for the hotel and were hoping that the place would be very acceptable. We stayed two nights and all was excellent. The attendants at the front doors were very nice, Enrique being one of them. We were in and out many times over the weekend and whomever was at the front door was always very polite and helpful.

Our reception at the front desk was also very nice, greeted and taken care of in a responsible manner. A large spacious suite with all we needed was ours. The room was very clean and well decorated, flat screen TV, etc. We ran into the maid one time and she was very gracious and helpful.

While eating breakfast both mornings we had the occasion to be helped by the Food and Beverage manager, Mr. Baumann. Too bad more restaurants didn't have more people like him helping the customers. The waiters and busboys were all very polite and helpful, always with smiles on their faces. That is not always seen while eating in restaurants.

We will be going back to the Silversmith for further stays in downtown Chicago, well done Silversmith!!!!!

Room Tip: The "L" didn't bother us much at all, not a problem.
