The Hilton is a very elegant comfortable hotel. It is however a huge property that hosts many groups so the common areas tend to be very crowded. The lobby is beautiful and grandiose and has been renovated.
I don't have any complaints regarding the quality of the hotel but I agree with a previous reviewer that it does get annoying to be charged extra for everything extra (has made independent hotels more appealing). Another small nuisance is the standard chain cable package (30 channels +/- a few) that was available - I couldn't get the White Sox game in the room because it was on a local channel (while you can go to a motel and get hundreds of stations).
My room was very large with a super comfortable bed. The bathroom had ample room as well with a long counter. Overall I thought the room was excellent (minus the tacky gold trim in the bathroom).
The hotel location is pretty good for those not familiar with Chicago. It is in the South Loop area and right across from Grant Park and close to the lakefront (ideal spot for runners). The hotel has a lounge and popular (but expensive) bar called Kitty O'Sheas.
Given the Priceline deal I received I would stay here again.
