I arranged to have a surprise birthday party here and the hotel did wonderful at accommodating. They allowed a friend into the room for set up before we arrived and even upgraded to a larger room (I booked a 2 bedroom with parlor) Thank you Robert for getting me into a larger specialty suite. We were able to get silverware, glasses and plates from the executive lounge and they brought up a refrigerator for us (which is weird the larger suite only had one in the dresser in the master bedroom)
Only down side is it would have been nice to see a little something from the hotel as a birthday gift. I don't expect it but its always nice to get acknowledged with a gift for the occasion. I have stayed at other Hiltons for various special occasions and they usually send up a gift of some sort for the occasion (chocolate covered strawberries, dessert, free appetizers, drinks, or champagne)
But we still had a great time and the room price was reasonable.
