This is overall great food. Every time we've approached an italian restaurant in the states we always wondered how much "italo-american" it is going to be or if it is going to be a proper italian restaurant in the us. This place belongs to this very category, food is pretty italian, quantity of food is right (forget ordering a chicken breast and getting also some spaghetti on the top, that's what usually is a sign of the american interpretation of italian food, if you order chicken breast in italy you get chicken breast, no spaghetti on the top).
Beers: glad to see bottles of Moretti on the menu, that really feels like home.
Ingredients: pretty authentic flavours all over, nicely balanced. Sometime we do get a bit more of parmesan on the pasta, but pasta is not overcooked, it is right on its point.
We tried some polenta, which had a really good texture, pasta with truffles, salmon, etc. Everything was pretty good.
We've been here already a few times and it feels great, we live a few blocks away and it is always a great choice. Still need to try the pizza though. Highly recommended.
