We ended up staying here based on all of the previous reviews. The reviews are spot-on. The rooms are a decent size and are very clean. The beds are quite comfortable allowing for a good night's sleep. Although the hotel is downtown, it was pretty quiet in the rooms; if I heard anything, it was sirens from the station a block down. I could not hear anything in the hallways or next door rooms. The breakfast was very good; at times it got a bit crowded and the staff wasn't able to keep up with everyone (we were there Thanksgiving weekend). However, Ismeta went out of her way to make sure our family had what it needed. I truly hope hotel management recognizes her as an outstanding employee. Honestly, she is one of the nicest people I've met at any hotel...ever.
The nightly manager's special was okay, again, it was just way too crowded; people were everywhere. There probably should have been some sort of order to chaos. Tables were full well before dinner was served so we ended up just leaving and going out. Bummer as we expected to stay in but oh well, I guess we'll learn for next time (maybe they should take reservations; seriously!).
On the down side, we were not able to use to pool because of the chemicals. One of our requirements when travelllng with children is a pool. Although we tried to use it, my 10 year old would not go back in after swimming only a few minutes; my 7 year old would jump in and run to the drinking fountain, wash her face in it and and go back and jump in the pool again. I wanted to use the hot tub after shopping on Black Friday...imagine what that would be like...aching feet, back, legs...COLD....ahhh. But, after seconds, yes seconds, the chemicals burned my eyes so bad (no I did not put my head under the water), I had to immediately get out. Unfortunately, it put a damper on our vacation as we do love to swim and that's just what we do when we travel. We also traveled with my mother-in-law; she was not able to take the smell either and needed to leave the pool area after just a few short minutes. Instead, we watched t.v. Management, please check the chlorine levels in the pool and hot tub, they cannot be safe.
Overall, yes, I absolutely recommend staying here!

Thank you so much for the very ncie 4-Star review! Your assessment of Ismetta is spot on. She truly is one of the friendliest people you will ever meet. I'm so glad she made a wonderful impression on you. I apologize for the crowded breakfast and manager receptions. Thanksgiving brings many more families to our hotel, which creates more crowded seating in our gatehouse. I'm terribly sorry the chlorine level seemed very high. We do measure the chlorine level twice per day, 7 days a week. I will make sure that our Director of Engineering is aware of your comments to ensure a safe level for all of our travelers.
